There are two examples of why we should fire Gannon and his staff.

The Jaguars. They were 4-13 last year and 13-4 this year. They fired Pederson and his staff and then hired Coen. His staff has transformed their qb in one single off season. Coen coached under McVea a couple year back.

The Bears. The fired their coaching staff ( not the GM) and went from A losing record to winning their division. Again, in one off season. The Bears raided the Lions staff hiring Ben Johnson.

The blueprint is there. Look to winning organizations. Replacing a few pieces here and there is not going to do it.

Although some maybe most won’t agree but keep Monti if need be. Everybody else goes. Anything less is unacceptable.

Pure speculative guess. We will hear that Petzing is not being retained as OC but they find another role for him.
The PHNX guys expected Gannon to be focused on getting Petzing a new job. Reminded everyone that the Cardinals only “announced” firings last year by showcasing the new hires.

I’d be interested in knowing if Petzing has enough juice around the league to get a job elsewhere as OC/QB coach.

I could see him staying on as an assistant OC or assistant QB coach if he doesn't land something elsewhere. Maybe even an analytics/game planning role. I think it is more likely because Petzing's contract has expired and they aren't "firing" him.

Glad this sticky is gone - happy about the result.

Now - let's find a way to end the Kyler Murray debate sticky.
