It doesn't suck but it's not a great movie either. It's nowhere near as good as T2 IMO. My expectations were not high when I heard McG was attached but I guess I was expecting more story wise. The FX were very cool and it had some really cool moments but the story was....blah.

If McG keeps heading down the storyline path that I posted above, I fully expect him to run the franchise into the ground like Joel Schumacher did the Batman franchise.

Then again, maybe that's a good thing and we might get our Dark Night of the Terminator series somewhere down the line.

This about sums it up for me.

It was better than Wolverine, IMO, but nowhere near Star Trek.

The storyline was easy enough that if you weren't a fan you could still follow and understand who Kyle Reese was.

The "Arnold" cameo was the fakest looking thing in this CGI movie. And this movie looked great.

Why were there Terminators wearing doo-rags at the prison?
