Glad to see they won but wish I could have seen the game. Looks like Bridges is really coming into his own, which is good. I'd say it's great but if he waited 1 more year then we might have been able to resign him for cheaper. If he continues playing like he has then he'll be a near max player. I guess that will be a problem when it comes around, can't get caught up in it now. We still have 2 more full seasons of him before he can be restricted.

Bridges looked fantastic. It would be great to see the Suns rotate Bridges, Oubre, Saric and Cam Johnson at forward.

Backup point guard and center will be a problem next season.

I think they'll be fine with 3 of those 4, if Saric leaves, and that might be for the best because it would allow everyone 30 or so minutes a game. Of course we would need another Forward to play in case of injury or we're facing a really big team that we can't force to go small. A PF/C like Kaminsky might work but I'd prefer a better rebounder. They'd probably want someone younger also so playing time wouldn't be much of an issue if they don't see the court a lot.

Definitely need a backup PG. I know I want to keep Carter but I don't view him as the backup PG so much as a 4th or 5th guard in the rotation that is a defensive specialist. I was hoping he and Payne could play together, I guess we'll see.

I'm not going to sell on Payne yet. He looked really good in game 1, like a backup in game 2, and like a scrub today. I'm going by what people are saying by calling him a scrub in todays game since I didn't see it but just like people said not to overreact to his good 1st game, we shouldn't overreact to this bad game. Of course he's bounced around the league for a reason and this is probably closer to who he is. I'll give him the next 8 games to win me over though. He's sort of back at 0 now having killed off any hype people had for him after that first game.

I think we'll be fine at backup C. This year we suffered a lot of injury issues and of course Ayton's suspension. Who knows how many injuries the suspension caused by players having to play an increased role to cover for Ayton. I like the makeup of the roster as far C's go. Having Ayton as the starter, a veteran who can contribute in Baynes as his backup, and then Kaminsky and Diallo to round out the position. Kaminsky is a player who is essentially in his prime and can play both C and PF. He is what he is, a backup, but that's ok. Then having a young guy like Diallo to develop behind them is good except Diallo sucks out loud and since he's been in the league for a little while, that should have been noticed. I think we can find an undrafted rookie or maybe a 2nd pick to play that role next year.

That's correct. The Suns-Wizards game will be televised on FSAZ at 1 p.m. Arizona time on Friday.

I'm basically looking at the Suns roster going into next season. Anything they do now is a bonus.

I'm good with Bridges, Oube and Johnson at forward but the Suns definitely need another forward that can play power forward if Saric leaves. I'd prefer someone athletic in same mold as Bridges and Oubre but who can rebound. The problem with Kaminsky, the Suns can't put another non-athletic player on the court with him and expect to play defense.

Definitely need a backup PG. I know I want to keep Carter but I don't view him as the backup PG so much as a 4th or 5th guard in the rotation that is a defensive specialist. I was hoping he and Payne could play together, I guess we'll see.

As you mention, Carter is a defensive specialist who can shoot. It could be down the road he may develop some point guard skills but it's not something to count on. I'd like to keep him if possible.

Payne has to make the roster as a point guard. It could be he improves but I can't see depending upon him going into next season even if he plays reasonably well the last eight games. The Suns need to fix the situation in free agency, trade or the draft.

I think we'll be fine at backup C. This year we suffered a lot of injury issues and of course Ayton's suspension. I'm thinking Baynes will leave but with the money tight who knows. I'd like to get someone better than Diallo if possible who can play the 4/5 position. Actually adding a couple of athletic players that can the 4/5 position would really help the team's depth.

Whether it be free agency or the draft the Suns have to add a backup point guard. No use thinking otherwise.
That’s why Kira Lewis is quickly moving up on my draft wish list.

Mikal Bridges is starting to show flashes of Kawhi Leonard.

Unfortunately, DeAndre Ayton is starting to show flashes of Benoit Benjamin.

Meanwhile, we need a starting power forward and back-up point guard in the worst way.
