I can't even get away from it its so bad

1.4 MH Jr - Sorta a bust
1.27 Darius Robinson - Mega Bust and I was so pissed this was the pick
2.43 Max Melton - can't cover anyone 1 on 1. Okay in zone.
3.66 Trey Benson - He's an Abba song and a terrible pass blocker
3.71 Isiah Adams - Just freaking wretched. Does nothing well
3.82 Tip Reiman - The worst pick in the draft and that says a lot. Somehow people think that a bad 6th offensive lineman is a good thing
3.90 Elijah Jones - His own coaches hate him.

You have 2 marginal starters in MH Jr and Melton
You have 1 situational player in Tip Reiman
You have 2 bad players in Darius Robinson and Isiah Adams

And then Elijiah Jones is just an unknown because his own coaches hate him but they also hate KeTrel Clark so who knows
I still think Marvin can put it together, but his ceiling might be more like Tee Higgins than Jamar Chase.

It was good to see DRob do something today, but now he is injured again. He is one guy who can't afford to miss any time.

Melton isn't great in coverage, but he is even worse at tackling. He came into the game with a 27% missed tackle rate, and he missed at least one more tonight.

Benson could still turn out to be good. They need to use him more.

Tip Reiman is what he is.

Isaiah Admas just SUCKS!!!

Jones not getting on the field with this many injuries in the secondary is wild. The guy is going to be 26 in January. If he can't even get in sub packages now, he likely never will.

Overall, a pretty lousy haul considering the picks.

Ossenfort's picks two years ago with 7 of the first 90 picks is criminal

1.4 MH Jr
1.27 Darius Robinson
2.43 Max Melton
3.66 Trey Benson
3.71 Isiah Adams
3.82 Tip Reiman
3.90 Elijah Jones
7 picks in the first 3 rounds and you’d hope ONE would be a legit STUD. Just ONE. Instead NONE are even flat out GOOD.

That is pathetic.

Marvin and Robinson's struggles have been obvious for a while, as 1st rounders they're far more scrutinized. But Melton and Benson had given hope prior to tonight and both, Melton by getting burned repeatedly, and Benson by getting benched on every obvious passing play, really got exposed.

Imo Marv, Max & Benson are solid players, Robinson definitely is a bust.

The problem is Monti hasn’t drafted a stud or “difference maker” it appears outside of Williams & Johnson yet!!!

Which is why I wanted Will Anderson. Last draft I wanted Alt & Brian Thomas.
It is becoming hard to not envision a world with Alt/Brian Thomas. It was an offensive draft why not lean into it? Although Im not sure Thomas was even on the Cards radar. I think they invited Worthy.

You’re my guy @SoonerLou but man I feel like you never think of a defensive player we could have had when you look back at better draft picks we could have made lol

Because it would be nice to have a good defense, man, lol. Which it looks like we have, especially in the run.
Eh. It wasnt until yesterday that Darius was even a contributor to a good defense. Not worth it if the offense is a bottom feeder.

I actually mentioned a few times you take Dejean even if you already have Garrett Williams.

But that likely would have been with the 2nd round pick before trading down. I think I liked Nate Wiggins as well.

I dont hate the Nolen pick. I would have just felt better about it we either leaned offense last year or did it this year. Its tough seeing productive offensive players when Darius/Nolen are two "Idks". Maybe they'll be great though. Just sticks out more when the offense is such a slog.

I don't think Melton was that bad. There is no corner in the league that can shut down Njigba all game.

Melton is supposed to be our #2 or #3 corner - to me I actually thought he did better than I was expecting.

Benson was exactly the same as he has always been. He cannot run between the tackles for squat, but if he gets some space he can make big plays. He seems more like a complementary back than a lead one.

the problem isn't just offensive - it's offensive

all starts with petzing - 8 carries for our lead back and we're supposed to be run first lol - benson was averaging 5+ a carry in the first half but petzing wasn't having it

im over petzing - he waits until the game is all but lost to turn the offense on - goes from ultra conservative to bald and beautiful - and it's pissing gannon off - first time i didn't see pure coach speak last night - he felt the same way you did last night

and im over kyler murray - i tend to go from side to side on kyler - red rover red rover send birdgang on over - done sticking up for this guy - keep waiting for him to grow but it's. just. not. happening.

pissed me off - second to the last drive kyler walks out on the field looking and walking like a different kyler - i mentioned it in the thread - it's an angry walk he does when he's all business - when he feels it's go time - but it should start on the first drive of the game

but the deal breaker for me was 3rd and 2 where petzing called something - assuming hot route quick throw quick slant idk - but kyler didn't like it and instead of putting the responsibility on himself he audibled to carter - this broke my hippie heart

i'll never call kyler a quitter but I'll NEVER call him a killer either - they were coming for him and he didn't want the smoke - play action - murray keeps it - and we get that first - he didn't even have to rely on his arm or others

lastly - gannon can't fire petzing - that's a monti call - if he's going to do it it needs to be done asap but i don't think he will - there'd have to be someone more aggressive lying in wait - do we have any untapped offensive genius on our staff?

it's petzing and it's kyler and it's garbage

I was mad at halftime. Not so mad at the end, maybe this is the game that gets Harrison going. Great catch by Wilson. They need Will H. Starting and they might turn it around. I'm going to the Dallas game I sure hope they turn it around.

I too would love to see this whole thing turn around. After that 4th quarter comeback you might think things are finally going to click for this offense. But don’t let yourself get fooled again. We saw this last year also and look how it ended. Nothing has changed. This offense is not good they just had a good quarter. I hate to be pessimistic but I’ve seen it too many times. Petzing and possibly Murray must be gone.

Yes that 4th quarter was sheer desperation. You would think they would just operate like that the whole game instead of the 4th quarter, but I digress.
