Aaron Rodgers is a strange guy off the field. But he’s not a bad person, is not a criminal, hasn’t hurt anyone, so I feel his off-the-field stuff is somewhat irrelevant as it’s pretty harmless overall. My eyebrow raised when we signed Hackett as OC, I had a feeling we might have a sliver of a chance at landing ARod.
Jacoby - I still can’t wrap my head around the idea of a QB holding out for more money on a contract he just signed a year ago and after posting double-digit losses and a lone victory.
Tanking - I’m done with tanking. You all can have your 3 win seasons. I don’t care about the 2027 draft and don’t think about it at all. I want 10 wins this year. Aaron Rodgers on this team sets us up for the best chance to do this, and at the same time Beck can learn along the way and spot in when needed.
Winning is more important to culture than what yet another tank year would do to our roster. If we tank this year, say goodbye to McBride and Wilson, they will both want out, as will others on the team. Is that worth Dante Moore to you? Really? I bet the GM isn’t trying to lose out this year - someone else will be drafting in his place in 2027 if so.
Sign ARod, cut/trade Jacoby, let the rookie learn and develop. Win 10 games, maybe have some fun watching our team play meaningful football in December/January. I love this path to success.
