NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.....

...and more NO!
This... you need to throw Beck into the fire and see what he is, tanking is just the win/win option. need to be sitting pretty for next years draft. You can pretty much chalk up 6 losses right off the bat in the division....

Wolf is a aackjss. His consistent cheerleading (along with his WWE bs) is embarrassing to the organization (as if the organization doesn’t do a fine job all its own).

I’m very interested in how Reggie develops. His hands and his ability to make contested catches is very impressive. Wolf is only jinx’n the young man.
I'm retried and have time to listen to some of the sports talks shows here in Phoenix. I got tired of Wolfley and won't listen to his show anymore. It's just not entertaining. His rants are the same and boring. They need to get rid of him.

Why are we talking politics in the Cards thread?

After reading all the dark sider posts on here, I enjoy listening to Wolf and his positiveness concerning the Cards. :D :koolaid:

I am curious as to why people would be against this signing. Do you think he is not better than Brissett?

I don't think there's that much between them now in arm talent, statistically they have been very similar recently. The big difference for me, and it is a large one, is play in clutch moments and IMO leadership. JB seems like a well organised and hard working guy and his teammates seem to respect him, but if he going to rally the team for a 4th quarter comeback like Rodgers? I don't think so.

I don't think there's any question that Rodgers would be a better option. The question is if the upgrade is worth the cost.

After some of the hits Brissett took last year, Rodgers would have been out of the game.

As he should have, the uncaring bastard.
Uncaring? As I was deemed to serve my working days through the pandemic while others got to sit at home? Then this surprise vaccine comes out and I'm a a hole for not taking the jab? People who hid under the Afghan knitted blanket at home didn't care about my health. Then all of the sudden my rights were scrutinized.

I didn't take the shots and I'm glad of it

This ban was requested so I could enjoy this board without politics since it is everywhere else in my life. Please stop forcing it on the Cardinals board, go to P&R to argue and never agree.

Who cares if he's MAGA or not? If we were judging anyone else for other things we'd be wrong. This world today omg. Either have a moral compass or not stay equal on both sides of the fence.
That wasn't the convo. We were just talking about why or why not he might prefer PHNX over Pittsburgh. I don't think anyone here cares about his politics. Its about whether it makes a difference to him.

I am the one who brought it up initially about whether he might like it more here or somewhere else. I do not want to discuss politics here either. I prefer to keep my own views to myself. Sorry.

Is he done licking toads?

I'll pass. Give JB a chance (or Minshew). Rodgers ain't gunna ride the pine when we inevitably play Beck to see what he's got.

The people you possibly infected along the way would not be glad of it, I guarantee you.

I'll say no more as this isn't the P&R forum.

I don't see the upside with the group we currently have so how is signing him any worse?
Touche

Lots of baggage comes with ARod and at this stage of his career with diminshing skills I think he makes us worse off (not from a win perspective).

Don't get me wrong, this is a bad QB room thanks to MO.

What if Rodgers wins 8 games here does MO get to stay because of the sugar high Rodgers season?

I would like to see Beck play this year instead of Rodgers limping us to 8 wins at best.

Aaron Rodgers is a strange guy off the field. But he’s not a bad person, is not a criminal, hasn’t hurt anyone, so I feel his off-the-field stuff is somewhat irrelevant as it’s pretty harmless overall. My eyebrow raised when we signed Hackett as OC, I had a feeling we might have a sliver of a chance at landing ARod.

Jacoby - I still can’t wrap my head around the idea of a QB holding out for more money on a contract he just signed a year ago and after posting double-digit losses and a lone victory.

Tanking - I’m done with tanking. You all can have your 3 win seasons. I don’t care about the 2027 draft and don’t think about it at all. I want 10 wins this year. Aaron Rodgers on this team sets us up for the best chance to do this, and at the same time Beck can learn along the way and spot in when needed.

Winning is more important to culture than what yet another tank year would do to our roster. If we tank this year, say goodbye to McBride and Wilson, they will both want out, as will others on the team. Is that worth Dante Moore to you? Really? I bet the GM isn’t trying to lose out this year - someone else will be drafting in his place in 2027 if so.

Sign ARod, cut/trade Jacoby, let the rookie learn and develop. Win 10 games, maybe have some fun watching our team play meaningful football in December/January. I love this path to success.

The problem is that if you say this now and Beck is awful you’re stuck with Beck. I don’t have any appetite to watch even six games for Josh Rosen-quality play.
No, we draft another QB next season.

Beck being a 3rd round pick for us is great which is another reason I wanted no part of Simpson in the 1st. Hell we've cut 3rd round picks their rookie year in camp. This holds even more true since this past draft was absolute garbage in terms of talent.

We need to find out if this kid can play not 3 years from now.

In consecutive posts on my FB feed I had this rumor and one saying we're trading for Shadeur Sanders.

He can still play. From the perspective of QBOF, we don't have one on the roster so worrying he's not the right guy to mentor a young QB probably isn't a big deal unless you think Beck is that guy and I don't

Even six games of execrable football is too many for me. People accuse me of not watching the games when I post stats they don’t like, but i have to wonder if anyone remembers watching these games where we had no chance.

I watch every single minute of every game, no matter how pathetic the Cards are. I don't know who's more pathetic in this scenario...
