I think Arizona's offensive talent is superior to Pittsburgh. If it's mostly timing plays and just a few deep shots a game, he can probably do better than those numbers, in AZ.
Eh, not really. Their offensive line is better hands down, which is best for Rodgers. Also, they have Pittman and Metcalf, no slouches. The real thing is they have an actual defense as opposed to our shredded roadkill defensive roster.

Rodgers is playing in Pittsburgh or not at all.

No, Pittsburgh isn't. The town itself is dyed in the wool blue. A lot of the rural areas are MAGA, but the man lived (lives?) in a nice quiet area where he won't be bothered.

Metcalf with 850 yards and Pittman with 784 yards would have ranked 3rd and 4th on the Cardinals last year...5th would have been MHJ with 608 yards.

Oh and with Pitt in 2025, after Metcalf, their #2 was Gainwell (RB) with 486 yards.

So the only difference is McBride, really. You completely ignore the offensive line component, too. Oh, and Pittsburgh's defense.

Pittsburgh is definitely the best destination for him, whereas he would get crushed by week 3 in Arizona.

He’s a talented jerk which is the worst kind.

I’d pass I don’t see the upside.

I can't stand the guy, but we're already such a disaster class, it would certainly make us entertaining, we'd get MUCH better announcers for our games.

However... his habit of throwing his teammates under the bus, then backing up so he can run them over again, probably isn't the best for a young team or a first year coach.

But, it won't happen regardless, the Steelers put a tag on him.

One player you forgot to mention when discussing our offense line is TE Tip Reiman who should be back after suffering a season ending ankle injury last October. He is an outstanding blocking TE who can lineup next to RT and be a major contributor.
Great call! He should fit well in the offense.

You had me up to here:

I don't think there's much separating the two these days.
You think so? Rodgers led Steelers to the playoffs last season, while Brissett went 1-11. I understand that Rodgers didn’t carry that team, but he certainly didn’t hold them back either. I actually have some belief in Beck, but if we are only comparing Rodgers and Brissett, I think that Cards would be much more competitive and watchable with Rodgers.

I will also add, by the way, that I don’t know why people are rejecting the possibility so quickly. Hackett and Rodgers are friends, and it is no secret that the Rams flirted with Rodgers last offseason, so it is not a stretch to think that LaFleur is a Rodgers-fan. Then there are the location, climate and other practical stuff that just feels like something a California-guy would appreciate. I don’t see it as crazy speculation.

The tag does not restrict him from moving to other teams. It just gives them a compensatory pick if he signs with another team.

It's a largely meaningless Tag that may get them a compensatory pick if he leaves.

Wow, an awful lot of chatter for something that has .000001% chance of happening lol

It's still April and the draft is over.

IMO, the obsessing over daily reports about drills in camp is far more silly... and that is still to come!

While driving today I got to listen to Ron Wolfley make a case that Reggie Virgil has a chance to be the next Jerry Rice. His argument was centered around both being slow at the combine.

Wolf is a aackjss. His consistent cheerleading (along with his WWE bs) is embarrassing to the organization (as if the organization doesn’t do a fine job all its own).

I’m very interested in how Reggie develops. His hands and his ability to make contested catches is very impressive. Wolf is only jinx’n the young man.

This is one of those wash, rinse and repeat stories we've heard many times before with big name players possibly coming to AZ only to sign somewhere else.

He must hate playing in Pittsburgh. It's the heart of MAGA country and he is totally a West Coast kind of guy (I am not taking sides, just recognizing Rodgers bent). AZ isn't perfect for him, but its closer. I am sort of "meh" on this. He is due to drop off really quickly. However, I would probably prefer him over Brissett.
I dont think he is a MAGA guy, he just didnt want to be force fed the vax and it made national attention

I cannot fathom the possibility. It makes no sense from either side.

He's got, maybe, one year left, the Cards are about as far beyond contention as anyone in the league and their front office is sending out every indication that they are not particularly interesting in winning next season.
Probably rolling into a generational d

Pittsburgh is hardly MAGA... its not Philly but it don't lean right either. I also think you believe he is a little more left than he actually is. its been a while since he was @ KAL
