?..the Cards drafted Murray and kept Rosen - the two would compete to start, with the loser becoming the backup.

Lots of teams carry two QB's with starting talent. Given the frequency of injuries, it's likely that the #2 QB will see a lot of action.

It signals we need a QB. Whether that is free agency, Murray, or midround or later pick like maybe Grier.

They've been so certain that we'd draft Murray, this is just another tea leave for them to hyperventilate on and create topics about for all the sports shows.
