So the exact opposite of what is supposed to happen for team with a poor record the previous year. Fits right in with our luck generally. smh.
Only two games are determined by strength of schedule/division result. Meaningful "last place schedules" haven't been part of the NFL since expansion.

That said, we split our games against the last-place teams this year (Atlanta and Houston).

Hmmm... Three games now since the 17th game was added.

But agree with you though generally. Three games really shouldn't be enough to tip the SOS that much. You would hope it would a little though. :)

Still seems a bit unlucky that we were 2nd in SOS this past year. But whatevs. Maybe a blessing in disguise, and perhaps the SOS gods will favor us in 2024. Thanks K9, appreciate you!

Oh. So we went 1-2 against the other "last place" teams. Sad!

Compared to 6 games against your 3 division rivals that are know to be better than you. Plus when you suck, you're always playing better teams. It only makes sense that the worst teams have the hardest SOS under the current setup.

Top 100 FA list.

I think they are high on some of their contract projections but going off what they have if I'm mining that for value I'm signing from the following.

Hollywood Brown - 1 year - $12m - That's just cheap, or Swap for Gabe Davis on the same money.
Kevin Zeitler - 2 years - $15 - He's a RG but Hernandez can move to the Left where he played for 4 years.
Chase Young - 1 year - $15m - Seems like a no brainer for a guy with 10 sacks this year. Has played 16 games. Injury issues seem behind him.
DJ Reader - 3 years - $45.75m - Not a big sack guy but affects the QB and stops runs. This is same money Zach Allen got and he's a better player.
Bryce Huff - 3 years - $40m - There's a one season wonder element here but he's been playing very well and $13.3m per for a 10 sack guy is nothing.
Steven Nelson - 2 years - $14.5m - He's been playing well for the texans the last 2 years. At $7.5m per it looks a bargain. That room needs some vets.
Lavonte David - 1 year - $4m - It's a 1 year rental but he's still playing well and adds experience and talent to a week room for no money. Or swap for Bobby Wagner, same deal.
Denico Autry - 1 year - $7.25m - At 33 it's a rental but he's a very solid vet and one of the best 5T's in the league. 11.5 sacks this year to go with 17 the previous 2.
Devin White - 1 year - $7m - While White has had major issues with PA and coverage at this price for a guy that had a great playoff run to a ring I'm taking the chance I can fix him.
Tyler Boyd - 2 years - $17.5m - Might the biggest steal here. A big slot that can block with 6000 career yards for $8.75m per? Yes please.
Josey Jewell - 2 years - $12.5m - Solid all round linebacker and better than anyone we have except White. Possible too similar to White.

How is Luketa ERFA? He was a 7th round pick a year ago, he has a 4 year deal.

I had this same question when Darren Urban said the Cards signed Big Mo Hayes to a Futures Contract. When you get waived and moved to the practice squad, your rookie deal gets torn up.
