My love for Kyler went off a cliff. But I believe the Cards should draft a tackle and when JB gets hurt, hope Kyler has a little fire in his gut.

i get the (very unlikely) possibility that the Bengals might move on from Burrow

but Stroud? is there something happening in Houston i am not aware of?
Stroud hasn’t been very good since his first season. Maybe they want to reset the clock. I kind of doubt it though.

Stroud is just speculation based on his diminishing play. Could they be enticed to go with a stop gap option? Probably not but you have to ask. That franchise does strange things.

Jake Browning looked really good last year in place of Burrow. Not so much this year. So who is the real Jake Browning? Burrow for what he has to be paid is too injury prone and Bidwill will still be paying Murray.
Browning is nit a sack guy, just a threat guy. That has value but it’s not optimum.

I have stated a couple of times that I really want them to select Ty Simpson with their first pick, and I still do, but in reality, Fernando Mendoza is probably the better fit. They would most likely have to trade up for both of them, anyway. I could see them taking a chance on Carson Beck or Drew Allar on day two of the draft.

I don’t like either of those guys Beck or Allar for what it’s worth

Are there any QB's in this draft you like? What would you do at QB at this point? Try and rely on a young guy in a draft and stash or try to make a trade?

So if Kyler has played his last game, what’s the strategy for next year? Draft a qb and roll with Brissett as a bridge QB for one more year?
I think that's the strategy, though as someone else suggested, it might make sense to take an OT in the first round and (maybe trade up for) a QB who can sit and learn for a year behind Brissett in the late first or second round.

Regardless, if they draft a rookie QB, they need to hire a QB coach who can develop him!

As you look ahead to 2026 keep in mind the Cards will play a brutal schedule. The NFC West draws the AFC North. I don’t want a first year starter facing that.
What Nfc division do we play?
Actually, they will play the AFC West and NFC East, with the 17th game vs. the team with the same record in the AFC East.

I wouldn’t be mad at Mac Jones the way he’s looked this year… Almost a 95 QB rating two to one touchdown to interception ratio has looked good when I’ve watched the Niners. And most of that was with Kittle out Ricky Pearsal out out and Juwan jennings out. 67% completion percentage. You could do worse.

I was saying for awhile I think he's our QB next year but turns out he has a 2 year deal and highly doubt SF would deal him now with Purdys toe lingering so long.

I don't love the guy but he was my choice as the most obvious but seems unlikely now

The draft will have some options.

FA will be limited.

The trade market is always changing.

I think the Cardinals would be more inclined to draft a QB than trade for a Mac Jones type guy.

If the Cardinals were serious about the QB position they would trade Kyler, sign a guy like Zack Wilson to a 2 year deal, and then draft a QB in rounds 1 or 2.

Best potential scenario is

Give Jacoby a one year extension.

Sign Zack Wilson/Sam Howell to a 1 or 2 year deal. (probably most difficult part)

Draft LaNorris Sellers in round 1 and sit him for a year or two.

Basically you need to ensure that Sellers only starts as an emergency in year 1. You don't want him being the primary backup unless he actually wins it.
Drafting Sellers would be ass-backwards for this offense.

Reminds me a little of JJ McCarthy coming out without the winning. I think he projects like CJ Stroud but has not had as good of coaching and has not been as productive.
I think you’ve been watching a completely different LaNorris Sellers.

RT is looking like a desperate need. Heck the guards need upgrading as well. I love Will Hernandez but he’ll be 31 before the start of next season.

I don't think Allar comes out now. Beck is blech.
