The ideal scenario would be to trade Kyler to a team ahead of us in draft order for their 1st and a 4th. This is assuming JB pans out as QB1 the rest of the season. He’s looked darn good so far. The ball is going downfield, especially to Harrison, who looked like an All-Pro against Dallas. With the higher No. 1, take a QB; take a OL guy with the second No. 1. This could set the cards up for years. I think the Cards might also think about trading Darius Robinson, who has been a major disappointment so far. With Nolen’s arrival, Robinson’s future looks dim. Could a trade that includes Kyle and Robinson get you a No. 2 or 3 pick?
WTF?
Trade Robinson??
When literally everybody knows it takes D linemen a few years to develop...except those rare guys who usually get drafted top 10...

And Walter....so, your expecting him to man the line by himself?
Dude has talent. But that's a tall order. I don't think it's going to work out.

How about this? Maybe we just continue to develop Nolen, Robinson, and Stills...watch Robinson benefit at DE from having Nolen at DT....then maybe we spend a few seasons enjoying having a fairly solid defensive front?

McShay on his pod said that Oregon and Dante Moore’s camp are in lock step about him returning next year. He predicts Sellers transfers but that could change but expects him back in college for another year.
I see most NFL quality college kids sticking around 4-5 years now in college. That's easy guaranteed $ before doing the NFL grind to play with men

I have stated a couple of times that I really want them to select Ty Simpson with their first pick, and I still do, but in reality, Fernando Mendoza is probably the better fit. They would most likely have to trade up for both of them, anyway. I could see them taking a chance on Carson Beck or Drew Allar on day two of the draft.
Allar is garbage its 100% NO GO w/PSU QBs

Showed a ton of poise with a cover 0 blitz to throw game winning TD
Not his best game. Certainly his receivers showed out on that last drive. They made college toe taps on high throws that wouldn’t have flown in the NFL.

One thing to keep in mind, college backup QBs are often far below starters since the portal started. Hence the starter often plays hurt, sometimes in restrictive devices. I try to wait until the end of the season to make any firm evaluations. Sometimes even bowl games and all star games are useful as QBs can get healthier. So my hesitancy is not a lack of opinion, just a concern of validity. The portal has changed much. So I’ll mention guys worth watching, but not rank a bunch of them. The top few are usually obvious.

My ideal plan is to take a tackle with our pick and then trade back into the end of the 1st to get whatever QB falls. That way you get the extra year of control.

Not a bad thought but I’d rather be in the middle of the pack to get my choice.

Shough looked good today so that helps.

Are 100%.

I think Tua is just getting paid way too much & has been okay in recent weeks.

LA? Them too. Damn Atlanta smh

Would 200 ypg passing be considered the Mendoza line?

Miami is in perfect position to draft a QB because they can be patient. Tua can be released after next season.

Not sure what the Rams’ mindset will be.

Actually, they will play the AFC West and NFC East, with the 17th game vs. the team with the same record in the AFC East.
True as next year our last two stadiums to visit are chargers and giants. Then I might retire from live games unless they're playoffs, Superbowls, or maybe over seas. Oh yes and Canton if we get another one there. Oh hell I got to get more healthy.

Plan #1: Damn the torpedoes to trade up for Mendoza, unless he falls apart like a cheap watch. Jacoby backs him up.
Plan #2: Bring in a vet QB, target Allar for a 3rd or later pick, and have Jacoby at least through camp to see if he is needed.
Plan #3: Bank on a QB falling in the 1st/2nd and keep Jacoby to start while said QB develops.
