An All-Dade County performer in high school, Brown struggled to qualify academically and spent one season at Division-II Mars Hill in 2008 before sitting out in 2009 and redshirting at Coffeyville Community College to get his academics straightened in 2010. He transferred to Pittsburg State and made an instant impact with consistent production the past three seasons, showing off his versatility as a receiver and return man ? leaves school with several school records, including 6,244 career all-purpose yards. Brown, who has a two-year old daughter, is an impressive athlete with track speed that translates well to the field and the football smarts to understand how to use his quickness. He will struggle in press and can be knocked off his route due to his lack of size and strength, but he uses decisive routes to create separation and give his QB a clear target. Brown lacks ideal experience against top competition, but he has strong football character with the God-given athletic gifts to make plays at the next level, either in the slot or as a return man on kickoffs and punts.

Draft Projection

Rounds 6-7
Bottom Line

Lean, fluid, speedy Division II standout with a playmaker's resume. Will have to overcome size and strength limitations, but his burst and hands give him the opportunity to earn a role as a slot receiver and return man.

Keim said Brown is a T.Y. Hilton-type (sounds familiar ...). Arians said Brown a combo of Antonio Brown/Hilton. #CardsDraft

Speed requires defensive attention and focus, this kids quicks can't be ignored when it comes to game planning us. Fitz and Floyd won't be doubled as much this year, infact, this will Fitz will have more freedom and room than he's ever had here, including the Q days.
