lol when targeted 18 times in a complete garbage time game… ya I bet most NFL WRs can achieve this. I’d also bet that when a WR is targeted 15+ a game there is a 90%+ chance in history they eclipse 100 yards… even in games that aren’t garbage time from Q1 on.

michael wilson's best game with kyler this year netted him a whole 16 yards

michael wilson had 52 yards receiving total in the 5 games he played with murray - maybe less because brissett played in the 5th

We've seen tons of receivers around the league in garbage time, most don't get open that much or catch that many of their targets.

A couple weeks ago we had a full game of garbage time vs. the Seahawks and Marv couldnt crack 40 yards on 12 targets.

okay so what? How many attempts has Brisset had ? Are you saying the offense has the same balance of running / passing ?

Context matters. Oh… and AZ didn’t get blown out in any of Kyler’s games

You have to aqknowledge the fact that Wilson has put up good numbers with Brissett whether it was garbage time or not. When I am at the games, I can clearly see that Wilson has been open many times as well as other receivers (namely MHJ). Kyler was never mentally able to get past his first or second reads before he either dumped the ball off to a RB or he took off running. That is the best you would get out of Kyler. Because of Kyler's inability to read a defense, I seriously think we are not going to get much for him in a trade. You can't blame Wilson's first 5 games of the season on Wilson. Clearly Kyler's fault.

I get Seattle has a better defense than SF this year but the week before same QB, Marv had 12 targets, down multiple scores the whole game, and caught only 3 passes. To be fair he had his appendix out a few days later so maybe he wasn't healthy but Wilson just seemed way more impactful?

3 and 30 is cheap! If we let him go, regardless of his "ture" talent level and ability over 3 and 30??? That's when Id go darkside on the whole Zach Allen travesty.

Going to have to disagree that 3x30 is cheap… see attached. Disregard value to price on the first attachment. Not a WR at $11mm and above I’d take MW over (I suppose Kirk, but not bc of the player he is but bc of his injury history). Also not sure what’s up w Bateman’s drop off after going for 800 yards and 9 tds last year (injured Lamar likely?).

2nd attachment is the next tier of dollars paid this season. The guys at the top Palmer, Dyami and Tutu all look like bad contracts… at the same time Tutu and Dyami were prob signed to larger contracts specifically bc they have a special attribute - to stretch the field. Good ole’ Robbie Anderson made a fortune off of solely having that attribute. Lot of rookie contracts beyond that and some old guys getting paid a lot less.

Don’t see how a few garbage games is deserving of a “cheap” 3x30m? He doesn’t have a special attribute. Maybe he proves me wrong when we see him in a somewhat competitive game if we can get one eventually?

The augment is that 600 yards, a couple of TDs, and 70%+ snaps is valuable out of a #3 receiving option (you have to consider McBride's target and reception volume). 10 mil is not a lot for that level of production and the three year duration becomes beneficial as it lowers the risk. In a perfect world, you are probably correct. But on a team who is trying to build/increase overall talent on the roster, I think it would be a smart move.
