He could but he’s made $3.8 million in three seasons and is scheduled to make $1.5 million in 2026. Maybe he balls out again with a new system, new QB, and healthy MHJ. Then he’ll earn an even bigger deal.

But maybe he gets injured again in week 3.
Especially with his college injury history. I am sure he wants financial security sooner vs later.

BS. Gannon and MO wanted him out because he didn’t practice and would not embrace the culture they were trying to instill. Why are you doing the Mitch and just making things off then trying to pass them off as factual. Not cool.
Larry wanted no part of Kyler.
Kirk's family indicated he wanted no part of Kyler.
Hopkins was over Kyler, and the team was over him.

Kyler is not an easy QB to play with.

None of it is to say Kyler is a bad dude. But for a WR, the NFL is tough enough without every catch being contested because your QB struggles to throw with timing and rhythm, having to be a primary read in order to feel you have a chance to get the ball, and having to communicate with someone who is not a good communicator and plays on feel.

I’ve always thought 1000 was weird even in 16 games since 63 yards a game is the bench mark. I’ve always thought the mark of greatness as a receiver and a running back should be 1200. But alas, the world we live in most everybody still seems to think 1000 is the mark.
Larry averaged 77.7 yards a game I think that a pretty good benchmark. As many of his years he didn't have a real QB.

He's gotta stay healthy. Hasn't shown that he can do it. Also, he had his best games with Dobbs at QB.

With Kyler, his 17-game stats would be 558 yards and 3 TDs. Sad! I know people are pumped about the 6-for-6, 95 yard stat line he put up against Seattle, but that was an unusual outing for him.

Just 41 players had over 800 receiving yards last season. That's above-average #2 WR production. Courtland Sutton didn't have 800 yards. That will put you on the fantasy map (which is what "breakout" really means let's be honest).

Wilson's 565 receiving yards placed him 75th in the NFL, which is mid-tier WR3. He was sandwiched between Noah Brown and Odell Beckham Jr. Both of those guys started fewer than 8 games in 2024. Wilson had fewer yards than Dontayvion Wicks while starting twice as many games.
Even in college he was often injured. Still he showed real talent, but you have to be careful counting on guys with his injury history.
