Bengals star Trey Hendrickson says contract situation is 'exactly the same' despite reporting to training camp
Trey Hendrickson didn't offer the most encouraging update Wednesday.
I’d given them a 2nd rounder, Ojulari, Nichols, Elijah Jones, and Michael Carter. lol![]()
Bengals reportedly listening to trade offers for Trey Hendrickson as contract talks stall
Cincinnati has reportedly been engaged in trade discussions for weeks, though the asking price for Hendrickson is high.sports.yahoo.com
It's a three year deal ask (reportedly). IMO, the compensation is the bigger issue. He’d cost money…pop goes that dream.

Yeah. I don't believe the contract is as big of an issue for a team acquiring him as it is made out to be. It's the combination of contract AND compensation. Bengals are negotiating like they have leverage, and teams don't want to pay a high premium in picks and players.Actually seems that Hendrickson is being quite fair and realistic in his demand. Asking about 20M less total than TJ and about 40M less garanteed.
Garanteed money is the issue. Bengals are low balling the garanteed money. They are reportedly offering 28M garanteed. That is 73M less that TJ.
Is this even a thing? Also keep in mind this seems like pass rush overkill.
Just like cowbell, you can always have more pass rush!A bridge too far. Price is too far and so is the compensation. Also keep in mind this seems like pass rush overkill.
Right or wrong, the Cardinal’s largest goal is to continue on the path of creating sustainable success. The last thing they will do right now is give up draft capital AND compensation for a 30+ year old player regardless of how good he is. Draft & develop is the primary path they’re taking. Why does it feel that someone like the Rams. Seahawks, or 49ers will make a deal to get him? Whether he is worth what he is asking, all I know is I don't want to play him twice a year but the stars seem to alighn for the other teams in our division. OOOOORRRRRR, it's a bidwill thing. (no cap on purpose)
Not true at allOjulari IMO you can t even count on at this point. Browning is ok and Sweat our big acquisition never has had a double digit sack season.
Yea no….. The guy is 31 years old and Darius Robinson could be a budding star for all we know that would be absolutely asinine! not even counting the first round capital you wanna give up on top of it.I mean, the terms are supposedly a 1st and a 'young defensive talent'. I trade a 1st and Darius Robinson for him 7 days a week, including Sunday.
Not true at all
I wasn’t talking about Ojulari. I was talking about sweat. Never having a double digit sack season.Well he was hurt when we drafted him, then got hurt bad again and isnt ready for the season this year. So far it doesnt look like he is some future piece of our pass rushing unit. Bad pick in my opinion.
whoops. I see he got 11 in 2022. Sorry about that! Good callI wasn’t talking about Ojulari. I was talking about sweat. Never having a double digit sack season.
