Appreciate the info!

That’s not a good look when a second year guy who didn’t get on the field last year doesn’t look ready and hasn’t picked up the system. I understand different people learn in different fashions, and maybe he needs live reps to learn, but you’ve got an entire year to do nothing but study and still not ready? Thumbs down.

Never bought what little Gaines hype existed.

I’ll excuse Conner in playing a new position whilst making the jump from college to the pros. That’s a tough assignment for him.
Of course it’s a bit disappointing, but there are positives on the other 7 of the 8 first picks in last year’s draft,

Man I don’t remember a season where fans were so “yawn… wake me up in January when we can see if Kyler can win a playoff game” since 2022.

I hope there’s more urgency in camp. This team hasn’t won anything, guys like Max Melton and Trey Benson haven’t proven anything, and we finished third in our division last year.

We have a ton to prove. Everyone but Budda on D has something to prove. Everyone on the offense has something to prove—including Trey McBride, who has scored six TDs in three NFL seasons.

Michael Wilson has one more NFL TD than Trey McBride.

im optimistic, but also realize that -- setting injury news aside -- fans just dont learn much from camp or preseason games. (but you better believe i will still watch)

so its the regular season for me -- and I will totally get it if people remain skeptical into November even if the Cards have a good record.

This board is 100% deader than I ever remember during TC
There just doesn’t seem to be a lot of reports of anyone standing out that much. The beginning of camp brought “the D is ahead of the offense” narrative I think we’ve heard every year since 2020, but we’re not hearing much else.

Will Johnson is the only real standout I keep hearing IMO but that’s a good thing

Yeah… he’s one of the few.

Harrison being kept out for four days because of knee soreness makes me a little jumpy. One injury there and our WR crew goes from mediocre to flat awful.

I lived 30 years in Phoenix, 6 years SoCali and now 3 years in Oklahoma.

The facts are they all get unbearably hot at times. But for those who have never lived in Phoenix you don’t know hot as hell.

Phoenix endures constant heat from May through September with few breaks and rarely a cloud in the sky.

People who say other place’s hot is just as bad as Phoenix are somewhat correct technically but until you’ve lived in Phoenix you just don’t understand how miserable heat can be.

I’ve experienced 122 three times in my lifetime. Once in Phoenix, once in Palm Springs and once in Death Valley. Hopefully there isn’t a fourth.
I still remember that heat wave back in like 1990 or 92...Phoenis went like 114 days straight with the temp never dropping below 102....even at 4am
pretty sure the 122 record was in that stretch, or the following year.
But damn that was a rough summer...not so much because the highs were so high...but because it was relentless and you never got a break from it.
The wife tried to get me to the pool at 1030pm...but it was 107 and the water was about 95 degrees...you aint supposed to sweat while you are actually swimming.

flip side...being able to take your kid to the park on Christmas so you can really test out his new football is a bonus....75 degrees on Christmas day is a blessing

Except….that has been the topic of camp so far. The DL causing havoc & back 7 playing good coverage.

It’s either one way or the other. If there was a gigantic title that said “CARDINALS DEFENSE MAKING GREAT PLAYS AND DOMINATING”, you wouldn’t spin the narrative or even have a concern about the offense? I find that very hard to believe from you. This isn’t even about defending Kyler, this is more about praising the defense if anything.
Do you not think that the defense can play well and Kyler can play poorly at the same time? If there wasn’t an article about Kyler’s turnovers we wouldn’t be talking about it. We would just be talking about the defense. So yeah, when someone tries to change the narrative of the article written regarding concern about Kyler’s turnovers to the defense I think it’s making excuses.

Have to disagree. I've lived in NY all my life, other than two army years, and 75 degrees just wouldn't be Christmas. But I do understand where you're coming from.

its a lifestyle choice certainly. I like it.
However I still see the absolute charm in a traditional "White Christmas" I just hate snow honestly...I mean, its great..drive up there, do some inner tubing, some sledding...maybe run a board down the slope...but then sensible ppoepl get in their car and go home.

I lived in a house with no ac that summer. We had a 400 year old swamp cooler that I believe was brought over on the Santa Maria.
