I for one have not been visiting as much as I have in the past. Very busy summer for me but quite frankly I’m sick of hearing and seeing Kyler throwing great passes in camp wearing shorts and no defenders.
It seems to me MO and JG came to the conclusion the way to get to the playoffs was going to be a vastly improved defense.
I think we are going to see an offense playing it close to the vest and not rely on Kyler to carry this team.

So, had another dream last night about opener (against the Dolphins for some reason) where we were down 27-0 and we were so bad, the Dolphins called on people in wheelchairs to come down to the field to have fun and “play” running back, where they wheeled circles around our defenders to run out the clock.

No lie.

I THINK I have high hopes for this season, but apparently my subconscious really doesn’t think so.

Do you not think that the defense can play well and Kyler can play poorly at the same time?
I didn’t say otherwise? I would think you would know it goes hand-in-hand. If Kyler was playing good, the defense would not be playing good. If Kyler was playing bad, the defense would be playing good. You have basically told me that it’s possible for Kyler to play bad & the defense not to play good, which is lame. Someone has to be doing their part.

This is so surprising from you because you usually don’t struggle like this. I believe you really need to football to start because you just seem bored as hell.

I think he'll carry the team BY carrying the ball.

Sorry if this was already posted - but will Hernandez visiting cardinals. I would love it if we could sign him- even if nothing more than insurance should one of these guys underperform or get injured. He was a great guard for us when healthy last season
Would love him back as back-up or to challenge Brown

I heard that early on they had a tentative agreement with Hernandez but became concerned the rehab reports were incomplete and he was not seen by the Cards doc. Now he’s coming in and I’m certain this will get favorably cleared up. Also the Cards wanted Adams to feel secure as they like his future. Hernandez had offers to sign elsewhere but likely had assurances he would get a chance to visit. He clearly wants to play in AZ and he’s historically much better than anyone but Adams. I expect him to be signed.

Does anyone know if Jim Cantori is now posting on this board?

Hernandez or Brown as back-ups would provide really good depth. If the reports on Adams are correct then he’s a lock to take one spot. Too much upside for the future

This board is 100% deader than I ever remember during TC
For me, a lot of it is my optimism is so vibes based. I shared in other threads that I was optimistic about Darius Robinson but I didn't have anything to support it other than vibes. Now, he apparently looks good in TC, but it is still TC which I believe the only thing that matters is not looking bad.

It's tough because this team has not done anything meaningful so hype is just hype. All that said, the Cardinals may have a top 10 defense at the end of week 6. And that may be conservative.

at least you are apparently keeping that intense negativity repressed.
If the redbirds do their part you could be totally cured by New Years

He’s historically much better than anyone including Adams. Maybe Adams can be as good or marginally better, but he hasn’t really shown that yet.
agree. Historically Hernandez is in the top 2 of our o line players...and PJJ has been getting the benefit of being a LT and first round draft pick.
definitely head and shoulders over any interior line players we had last season.

but even if they bring him back I wouldnt necessarily hate seeing him start on the bench....to get the rookie some PT and give the knee time to continue recovering under the live fire of full practice...and maybe a few ST snaps

Love the depth on the defensive side of the ball! Man what a difference on that side of the ball this season!

Very concerned about the WR and OL depth.

Signing Will Hernandez would help calm my nerves related to the OL depth. Still think a veteran WR needs to be brought in to compete for a spot.

How is Adams pass protection now? Last season it was horrible.

I think the only reason that Adams is a lock right now to start at guard is that there isn't really anyone else worth starting over him. Now if the Cardinals sign Hernandez, then the only way Adams starts is if Hernandez isn't physically ready to go. Adams still has to prove that he has improved his Pass blocking when the live bullets start flying for me to be a believer. I have high hopes for Adams to develop into a solid starter but I still want to see it first.
