There is a replay on YouTube. The qb clearly took a knee but his lineman bumped him causing him to stand. He then placed the ball down.
Clear enough because in college FB, the QB can simply simulate a kneel down. Doesn't necessarily have to go all the way down.
After reporters chop this one up, the refs are going to get evicerated.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the articles tomorrow. Probably won't settle anything, but it'll be fun.
Maybe they can have Mike Pereira do a special segment before tomorrow's games.
Please show me the "Simulate a Knee" in the rule book.
The 2011 and 2012 NCAA Rules state in Rule 4, Section 1, Article 3(o): "A live ball becomes dead and an official shall sound his whistle or declare it dead … When a ball carrier simulates placing his knee on the ground."[3] The same rule is used by the British American Football Association.[4]
It reminds me of the play towards the end of the Giants-Cards game a couple of years ago. Is really too much to ask of a player that, if they intend to give themselves up, lay on the ground and hold the football?
To me, both plays should be fumbles. Neither the Giants WR or the Badger QB was down by the rules of the NFL or NCAA.
Stupid rule. Put your knee down. Why is that so hard?
Last year UofA beat ranked teams without controversy.. Double digits.. ASU needs extra help. haha.. No respect..

First..... It's 2013.
Second.... The official didn't declare it dead.
Third.... who cares about the British American Football Association?
Fourth..... Shouldn't you be worried about what happens when UofA plays a real team?
Fifth.... TERRITORIAL CUP!
And last tear ASU retained the Territorial Cup. Major respect!
Come back when you got something.
And last year ASU beat au without controversy. Your point?
I think we both know.. When one of our teams has a chance to go to a major bowl the other takes it away.. Not surprising.. So prepare for it.. If anyone gives you respect for this game..
Especially in the NCAA, where you're down without contact unlike in the NFL. Makes no sense to vaguely give yourself up when you can just fall down. Or actually take a knee.It reminds me of the play towards the end of the Giants-Cards game a couple of years ago. Is really too much to ask of a player that, if they intend to give themselves up, lay on the ground and hold the football?

When did ASU play Auburn? And what does that have to do with UofA?
End of the day it goes down in the books as a win whether you respect it or not.
You mean like the Rose Bowl the Bowl UofA has never been to?
arizona university. Tucson's college doesn't deserve capital letters, just like their town didn't deserve the state capital.
Now we're talking smack!!!
