The 2026 high school baseball season has come to a close, and the Eugene-Springfield area featured no shortage of stellar performances throughout the year.
Marist Catholic captured a long-awaited state title after defeating Tillamook, 4-3, in the Class 4A championship game. Thurston surged to the 5A title game before falling to Central. Creswell delivered its best season in program history and reached the 3A semifinals, while North Eugene claimed its first Midwestern League title in 11 years. Willamette and Sheldon each made deep runs in the 6A bracket after stellar regular seasons.

North Eugene senior right-hander Michael Buschelman was named the Midwestern League pitcher of the year after leading the Highlanders to the league title and a 21-6 record.
Willamette senior center fielder Brodie Butler earned first-team all-Southwest Conference honors after helping the Wolverines to the SWC title and the Class 6A state quarterfinals.
Willamette junior Mason Christian was named the Southwest Conference player of the year after helping the Wolverines to the SWC title and the Class 6A state quarterfinals.
Junction City senior left-handed pitcher and first baseman Conner Clift was named the Sky-Em League pitcher of the year after leading the Tigers to a 20-7 finish and a trip to the Class 4A playoffs.
Clift hit five home runs this season, second-most among 4A players.
Marist Catholic junior left-handed pitcher Brock Cranmer earned first-team all-Sky-Em League honors after helping the Spartans capture the Class 4A state title.
Sheldon senior first baseman Jaxon Detzler received first-team all-Southwest Conference honors after leading the Irish to a 20-9 record and the Class 6A quarterfinals.
Willamette senior Jackson Doughty earned first-team all-Southwest Conference honors after helping the Wolverines to the SWC title and the Class 6A state quarterfinals.
Churchill senior outfielder Chase Hartley received first-team all-Midwestern League honors after leading the Lancers to a fifth-place league finish.
Marist Catholic junior catcher Grady Hazen earned first-team all-Sky-Em League honors after helping the Spartans capture the Class 4A state title.
Hazen owned the third-best batting average in Oregon this season, regardless of classification, after hitting .531 in 96 at-bats.
North Eugene junior catcher Aiden Hibler received first-team all-Midwestern League honors after leading the Highlanders to the league title and a 21-6 record.
South Eugene junior center fielder Gino Humphrey earned first-team all-Southwest Conference honors after setting the table at the top of the Axe batting order this spring.
Thurston senior shortstop Brock Johnson received first-team all-Midwestern League honors after leading the Colts to the Class 5A state title game.
Johnson led Class 5A with 33 stolen bases on the year.
Pleasant Hill sophomore catcher Wyatt Krauss earned first-team all-Mountain Valley Conference honors after helping the Billies to a fifth-place league finish.
Churchill senior shortstop Jace Litten received first-team all-Midwestern League honors after leading the Lancers to a fifth-place league finish.
Litten smashed five home runs on the year.
Marist Catholic senior right-handed pitcher and shortstop Gianni Lombardi was named the Sky-Em League player of the year after leading the Spartans to the Class 4A state title.
Lombardi hit .500 in 88 at-bats this season.
Creswell junior left-hander was named the Mountain Valley Conference player of the year and pitcher of the year after leading the Bulldogs to the league title and the Class 3A semifinals.
Pelham, who earned Class 3A first-team all-state honors, struck out 104 batters and posted a 0.78 earned-run average in 71 1/3 innings.
Junction City freshman shortstop Brayden Rauschert earned first-team all-Sky-Em League honors after leading the Tigers to a 20-7 finish and a trip to the Class 4A playoffs.
Rauschert and teammate Jarron Weed were the league's lone ninth-graders to earn first-team recognition.
Sheldon junior pitcher Andrew Roadman received first-team all-Southwest Conference honors after leading the Irish to a 20-9 record and the Class 6A quarterfinals.
Creswell senior third baseman Kayden Roberts earned Class 3A first-team all-state honors after helping the Bulldogs win the Mountain Valley Conference title and reach the state semifinals.
Roberts hit .362 with a .461 on-base percentage and 16 stolen bases.
North Eugene junior center fielder and pitcher Duncan Roudabush was named the Midwestern League player of the year after leading the Highlanders to the league title and a 21-6 record.
Roudabush was near the top of the Class 5A leaderboard this season with 35 RBIs.
Thurston senior Grady Saunders earned first-team all-league honors as a utility player after leading the Colts to the Class 5A state title game.
Saunders hit .531 in 98 at-bats this season.
North Eugene freshman Coda Skinner received first-team all-Midwestern League honors after helping the Highlanders to the league title and a 21-6 record.
Skinner was one of just two freshmen to earn first-team MWL recognition.
Sheldon junior pitcher Cam Thomas earned first-team all-Southwest Conference honors after leading the Irish to a 20-9 record and the Class 6A quarterfinals.
Creswell junior right-hander Landon Vaughn received Class 3A second-team all-state honors after helping the Bulldogs win the Mountain Valley Conference title and reach the state semifinals.
Vaughn posted a 1.50 ERA in 51 1/3 innings and stole 30 bases this season.
Elmira freshman center fielder Treyson Wasak earned first-team all-Mountain Valley Conference honors after helping the Falcons to a fourth-place league finish.
Wasak was the only freshman in the conference to garner first-team recognition.
