Cards trade a 2nd for him...maybe McCaffrey like deal except we don't lose like 49ers. This deal gets the Cards their 1st Lombardi trophy. Kyler plays better, dual threat when the defense gets off the field. He psychologically wants to be ahead and is lethal when he feels confident. Playing catch-up is not good for him.

Hate to say this because I’d like him here…. But, in order for us to have long sustained success, you have to draft well. Giving up draft choices does not help.
I think the first part of drafting well is putting players in positions to succeed. Some of that is providing an environment that supports them by surrounding them with players who can enable them to focus on doing their job. There is no limit to how successful teams add talent. The formula for future success is to acquire talent in as many different ways as possible, and not lean on just one way to fortify your roster.

Adding Hendrickson doesn't hurt any young Cardinals player if that player is actually good.

Too much for an older player seeking a new contract

At what point does this organization try to win. There's always some excuse. Meanwhile the Rams just casually pick up D. Adams. There's a chance he gets his way on the field against the Cards.
I’m not talking for or against here.

Just saying that the compensation in these situations are usually much lower than you expect.

Closest comparison IMO is Leonard Williams. Seattle paid a low 3rd for him.

But I would give up a 2nd rounder for him. We have to assume that our 2nd will be in the 50-64 range.

In no world would you not trade a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him.
Hes led the league, or close to it, the past few years. He’s been every bit as productive as TJ Watt and people would give that up for him in a second.
If Hendrickson was on Pittsburgh and Watt on the Bengals everybody would be singing his praises over Watt.

As this thing drags on, the more it would appear he will be resigned by the Bengals. I can't see anyone trading a first for him. Our defense is going to be solid (maybe top 10 if we cn stay healthy) and adding Hendrickson for a 3rd would be a gigantic boost. If it was a 2nd, I'd still accept it with open arms.

I would be more interested to hear dialogue between AZ and Cinny was happening.
Agree... I don't expect Monti to win every acquisition...but it would be nice to know he is in the game.
But this new staff is very good at keeping their moves, feelings, and thought processes on the down low.

If the Cards are going to be a major factor in the playoffs they’ve gotta go get this dude!!! Monti should be calling & texting the Bungles every single day until it’s done for a 2nd or 3rd plus 3 year minimum deal.

I’d be interested in the reactions around the sporting world if we were to acquire him.

Also what we have to tender for his services?

I'm 100% certain that contact has been made between Monti and the Bengals. We know that he was close to getting Garrett and in discussions about Crosby. So of course the call has been made IMO.

But all depends on the price. The situation is a bit of a crap-show. Hendrickson is asking for a extension for fair market value. The Bengals has offered him a deal that would make him around the 20th highest paid Edge rusher and then points fingers for him not to taking it, when he has been top 5 for the last 2-3 seasons.
