I have been thinking about that too, Harry, and I agree to an extent. However, say they bring in someone like Calvin Ridley, Braxton Jones or another WR or OT, and they don’t give up any picks in the process, doesn’t that make sense? Pick swaps seems to be the new trend among GM’s, so let’s say they swap a fourth for a sixth and said player. I could live with that.
I agree that there would still be less assets to go after a new QB, but I think you have to consider all the variables, and it would also help a potentially new QB to have talented players at key positions.
