Not a Jacobystan. After 7 years, I am an Anyonebutkylerstan. Jacoby just showed we have been settling for mediocrity at the position and should have higher standards for our team's QB. Time to go back to a regular sized NFL QB after this failed experiment thanks to our former GM who liked to draft smaller talent at positions.

Kurt Warner was a statue. He went to three Super Bowls with a career rushing total of only 286 yards in his career.

Jacoby has 1,000 rushing yards in his career as comparison. He scrambles when he has to.
My impression is that there are a lot fewer quarterbacks who are statues these days compared to Kurt's era. Quarterback movement seems to matter more now although you don't need Kyler-esque movement.

Tom Brady was a statue and many say he's the GOAT.
Another one with a very quick release time something that brisket doesn’t have
Eh... the "statue" with a "slow release" has a career sack rate of 7.76%, barely higher than the generational talent Murray's 6.22%. So, one extra sack every 2 games?

That tracks with this season's results - Brissett 18 sacks in 5 games, Murray 16 sacks in 5 games.

Versus the 49ers, with 57 pass attempts, Brissett was not sacked at all - a feat Murray hasn't accomplished all season.

That's quite a take...
Yeah...
Joe Montana is clearly the GOAT.
Played in an era where brutal pass defense was not only allowed but encouraged. The NFL never changed rules to benefit him. He never cheated...and through all that he managed to keep a Hall of Famer on the bench for years.

There really is no comparison between the two.
Had Montana the benefits that Brady had for his entire career the man would have a dozen rings...instead of only the 4 that he earned while fighting off the "America's Team" Dynasty year after year.

And threw two picks - one, like some of Murray’s wasn’t on the receivers not running the expected routes

Yeah...but i never could figure out why kyler often expected his WRs to run routes the play didn't call for.

Fortunately Jacoby just throws to the routes the play calls for...and WRs are there... where and when they are supposed to be

Kurt Warner read the defense so quickly, he didn't need to scramble, he made the opposition pay with the right play call.

Perfect tank commander for the rest of this year and next. Not very good but the players respect him and the skill guys will get their numbers so there won’t be any resentment.

Was at the game today. Brissett sucks, I don’t care what the stats say. His sacks were completely avoidable. He missed a wide open TD. He for the life of him is not going to win the game when you need it…not a clutch bone in his body. When we needed it in Indy, he couldn’t deliver. When we needed it against GB, he couldn’t deliver. If not for a big play from Cody Simon, the Dallas game almost got sideways on it. Of course we got blown out by Seattle and SF so there was only garbage time stats in that game. Even today, the decision to go for a home run at the end of the game to Weaver, instead just finding a 5 yard pass to Wilson, McBride or Dortch is just bad football.

Of course it’s not all him. The real point is this coaching staff sucks. End of story. Yet everyone here is ready to give him a 4th and 5th year. The celebration and tolerance of mediocrity is beyond mind-boggling.

All I know is that if Kyler was the QB when the defense got four turnovers and he only managed to score 17 points the board would have a complete mutiny

This is what JB did when we needed 4 yards to keep the game alive...He threw it into double coverage, to freaking Xavier Weaver lol

Then JG did what he does and doubled down saying it was the right play. You can't make this stuff up.

Well, if BA was here, he would say, "no riskit, no biskit". Right? And all's well.

But, it certainly was the wrong call.
