I don't know, this feels a lot like that thread last offseason when we had supposedly made a trade for James. That also started with a "I heard on the radio.." thread on a Colts board.

It's different because the Cards have the most money, James is supposedly in town right now, and it *could* happen.

Mutual interest from both sides -- only money in the way. :)

Agreed. But they were talking about how well he breaks tackles and busts through the holes.. I didn't catch the whole conversation though.. 2 minute drill coming up so we'll see if they say anything. NFL Radio usually knows before anyone else about signings....

I posted this on another thread

http://www2.indystar.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10

per FoxSports Radio...a 5 yr deal w/ 10 mil up front

Colts board is acting like he signed too

Alexander's signing bonus was only $11.5 million and for a longer deal

Also, Alexander has never had a serious injury. $10 million is in the ball park. There are likely some substanial paydays in there as well. Wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals include a big offseason workout bonus as well.

Plus there will be roster bonuses, escalators, incentives, and so on.

He grew up and lives in Florida. Somehow I don't think the rain will affect him one way or the other

You're not alone. This board will probably crash if/when it happens

His salary would probably be about 5 or 6 mil meaning he'd bank 15+ in the first year of the deal. That'd get 'er done IMO.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe the report.

And speaking of weather, it's cold (37 at my house), has been raining all day and my parents have 6 inches of snow so far just north of Scottsdale.

The longer it goes, the more nervous I get. I agree with the school of thought that says he signs today or not at all. If he leaves, caput.

He isnt leaving today. He has plans to be here today of which he got here late in the day all the way through Sunday.

In fact he is supposed to have dinner with Fitz and some other Cards players and coaches tonight.

Maybe I should stop by Sapporo on the off chance they'd go there.

I heard Larry mention that was one of their hang outs; about 5 minutes from my house.

He is unrestricted I think. No compensation will be needed.

Switch first rounders with who? We don't have to give up compensation for James.

Boldin and James have the same agent...I hope that means that they know each other and have some sort of relationship.
