They keep floating the rumor, it could be a smoke screen of course, that they don't want to blow up their roster just to get KD.
They shouldn't have to blow up their roster to get him but who knows what is really going on?? Just a wild guess on my part and hope we get this trade done soon as getting another first round player in the draft this year is what I think they really desire.

I hope that isn't true.

We basically burnt this franchise to the ground to trade for him, and if he can't spend 1 year on a team he doesn't like that just made it to the WCF that shows a really high level of selfishness. If that is true and I was in charge I would tell him - guess what I am vetoing a trade to any of your preferred destinations.

You either go where you don't want to or you sit at home this year.

Yeah that would be so out of character for him.

Couple of interesting tweets, don't know if there is any validity to them

Supposedly, the Suns want Jabari Smith in a trade with the Rockets. I haven't listened to the podcast with Gambo, though.

Someone please explain something which I haven't figured out but which is probably obvious to everyone else. If the Suns are going to do any trade involving draft picks, why is it important that they make the trade before draft day? Why shouldn't they trade for picks after the draft when the picks are attached to actual players? Why is it less desirable to trade for (the rights to) players already drafted?

If there's no particular reason they can't or shouldn't do that, then I can ignore whoever said they need to finish this trade before draft day.

Well if you do it after you can only trade for the player that team drafted - likely one of the 3 we are negotiating with - and that would probably not be the player the Suns would want at that pick.

I mean that is probably not the case for the top 4 or 5 picks, everyone ranks those about the same, but the picks we are talking about range from 10 to the end of the first round and there is no consensus there.

What I'm reading and hearing is the Suns are getting lowball trade offers for Durant, especially since he does not want to be traded to the Raptors or Timberwolves.

The Suns should prepare for the possibility they may have to sit on his contract until the trade deadline or all season, if necessary.

Can anyone forge KD's signature? Asking for an incompetent billionaire.

Sounds like Tyler Herro to me. Bam wouldn't make me throw my phone if I learned the Suns were asking for him but Herro would.
I think the guy tweeting is Miami based so Bam in the package would make them “throw their phones”. Although it’s probably just someone on the Internet that doesn’t know anything.

On draft day Miami can trade three 1sts so I’m not counting them out.

Probably an indication we should hold on to him. He's versatile and played with a lot of energy. He seems like the kinda player who "aligns" with the stated vision of our team culture.

I'd feel a heck of a lot better if David Griffin was leading the Suns FO rather than Ishbia via proxy of Brian Gregory. Griffin made some nice moves and put together a solid team and coach that looked poised to compete in the west. Unfortunately injuries and bad luck with Zion's lack of discipline was his undoing.
