I would do this deal in a heartbeat and then hope to trade Wiggins to someone for a 1st rounder also. Get us picks, picks and more picks.

It’s gets us 2 picks one 5 and the other 7 years from now. What are we supposed to do till then.

Trade Booker mid-season to the Rockets to get two of our first rounders back, and one of their talented young guys. Then act as a way station for bad contracts that have more first round picks attached to them for the next couple years. Hopefully these morons can then luck into one or two players to build around for a couple seasons and by then it’ll be 2030.

We are going to be terrible one way or another for five years. So all we should be doing is stock piling picks. I don’t care from where or when we’re gonna get them.

I do agree this team needs a complete rebuild

I think we could get more for Booker but like you said everyone has to go

So it's only a two-year extension with increased television revenue coming in.

I think we are going to be see this more and more with the higher paid players.

this is so blatantly obvious. and not because Devin's a bad player or you can't build around him. If we had a cache of assets and young talent already on the team, sure, you could manuever a way to maybe put a 50 win team together.

but we don't have ANY of the above. We have no control of our own draft picks, and one promising rookie. And that is it.

That deal sucks. No way do I do that. Wiggens is a liability not an asset. Robert Williams is more likely to be hurt than play. You are basically just trading for a 1st in 2030 - no thank you.

Yes, but very clearly it isn't happening. Ishbia still is in fantasy land thinking he can turn this team around in a year or two.

They might be willing to deal him in 2 more years, but I think that is the earliest they will consider it.

Given what the 2nd apron restrictions do to teams I can only name about ten players worth $75m a year going forward:

SGA
Jokic
Wemby
Luka
Edwards
Tatum
Giannis
Cade
Haliburton
Brunson
I don't think Haliburton is worth that much, he disappears way to often. Quite frankly I think Devin deserves it more than him.

More and more smoke gathering about trading Kevin Durant to the Spurs, his reported preferred destination.
