I am open-minded. I wanted someone else, but I was also super excited about the last two coaches, and that didn't turn out well. This guy is qualified. I don't think he's the most qualified, but he is more qualified for this job than our current GM is for his job. I am not excited, but I am definitely open-minded.

Not I, so not everyone. I always keep an open mind and wait to see how someone performs before I judge.

Man there’s just so little info on this guy. I just keep seeing “reputation for ‘offensive and defensive creativity, player development and communication," repeated over and over. Where does he hang his hat? What evidence of something he concocted or created can we look at to determine what we have?

Apparently he was books first choice, but I don’t know if that’s good or bad.

At least he’s not a retread. Would’ve liked for him to have had some signature element about him to look forward to. The Michigan state thing is a valid concern and even if ott ends up good makes ishbia look like a clown.

Here’s hoping it all works out. Won’t bag on the dude until we see what tricks he’s got in his arsenal.

So the fact that they took the best guy for the job that happened to have Michigan State ties makes Ishbia look like a clown? Well, if I'm Ishbia, I can live with that. I'd rather get the right guy and not avoid him just because he has ties to my alma mater and it might look bad.

I very much dislike this hire, especially with my top choice Johnnie Bryant sitting right there. With that being said, I wish Ott all the success in the world. I hope both Gregory and Ott prove me wrong and I get to eat crow in the future.

I am very much enjoying my crow. I just hope it is a buffet and not just an appetizer.

Jordan Ott, that's what. Trading for Lonzo Ball and signing Larry Nance Jr aren't good reasons why that team is floundering.

Coach Ott now sitting on 16 wins, with Vogel having 14 and Budenholzer 15 at this point in their single year tenures. That might not seem like much, but consider how different both the rosters and expectations were.

teams keep trying to shut book down - it works sometimes and ott is fine with that - he gameplans for that with lots of ball movement - ott uses it to his advantage but one thing ott won't do is watch his team not get back on defense lol - that arena was empty af lol everyone at home heard ott yell for that timeott soon as the shot went in - you'll see other teams do that but not us

I said it stunk of nepotism but I hoped it worked out. I still stand by that statement. There likely was nepotism. However, Ott is much better than I imagined. I am impressed with how much the team has rallied around Ott.
