Would you have been willing to pay that for him? That's a tough ticket to write for someone who's always been a "good quarterback on a mysteriously and continuously sucky team".

Never won a playoff game that I can remember.

He's really just not that good IMO... averaged 7 wins a year as starter.. 2 playoff appearances no victories and his teams had some talent.... Not worth 135 Mill...

He had a potential victory stolen from him by the officials against Dallas.

Ftfy. Name a RB, or WR not named Calvin Johnson the last 5-10 years? You may be able to but I'm willing to bet they stunk. And their defense hasn't been any good either. Throw in a bad coaching staff and FO and you have the Vince Tobin Cardinals.

So happy we drafted that QBOF instead of relying on signing a vet after Carson Palmer, because there will be lots of vets like this available. Oh wait... :(

If people are incredulous about this deal, wait until Cousins goes somewhere in free agency next year.

We're looking at something like a Smith, Stanton, Gabbert competiton next year, I think... maybe toss in a late first round rookie.

Good qbs usually dont hit the market
Great one almost impossible
We won the lottery with palmer but we cannot lean on this next time
We need to draft our qb
Was the perfect time this season growing him under palmer wings, but instead we drafted a undersized pass rusher to play ILB

I wouldn't mind Smith if it's just a stop gap to groom a QBOTF. Smith won't win you any championships but he won't lose you games singlehandedly either.
