I never thought Stafford would actually make it to free agency.
I would rather have cousins anyway. With that said, I doubt he becomes a free agent either.
For the cards, I think Palmer will come back one more year - unless he gets seriously injured this year.
But yes, I think most likely Gabbert is going to be our next starter.
I am sure we will draft a qb soon, but it won't be at the top of round 1, because keim is not going to trade a bunch of #1's and other assets to do that.
Drafted qb's in the first 3 rounds have like a 15% success rate, even top 10 picks are like 40% successful, so it is not worth the cost of trading up unless you are positive of the qbs success.
We have some other big needs at WR, and DL as well which also probably need to be picked in the first round.
