Time will tell.

Like all things in the NFL involving this organization I think the Cardinals will be pointed at the reason for the failure and K1 will be looked at another player that couldn’t pull this franchise out of mud.

It’s crazy to see posts like the one from Josh when the narrative here on this board was that K1 didn’t like football, wasn’t engaged enough as a leader, and was overall apathetic to competing.

Josh is basically saying the league looks at K1 as the total opposite.
Eh, I think he works hard at what he wants to work hard at and wants to win. Problem is, working out a lot and being at peak physical condition is only part of the equation. He's either never understood what else he has to work at or isn't willing to engage. Time will tell if he can do a Jake Plummer and fix that deficiency or if it's baked in.

Not being able to use and win with K1 will be this franchises biggest black eye for decades to come.

There’s a reason why this franchise has sucked for almost a century…….it’s spelled BIDWILL. I’m not surprised to hear that EVERYONE expected JG back. But, you can NEVER expect any decision that a Bidwill makes to be a good one. I’m happy for Kyler to escape AZ. I think he’ll sign a 1 year contract in 2026 just to rinse off the stink of AZ & then make some money after that with a winning organization. Meanwhile & sadly, it’ll be wash, rinse, repeat for us Cardinal fans. I’ve watched this play out for 7 decades, why would it be different now?

Few people saying he doesn’t like football compared to not knowing how to be a pro and the Cards not producing someone who could convince him to do the things he needed to maximize his robust toolkit.

I’ll never forget that Keim brought in an offensive specialist who was Aaron Rodgers’ QB coach and he left after a single season. Kyler’s ultimately accountable but the Cards could have done more to support him.

Can't trade what nobody wants. At least nobody is willing to give up anything to guarantee his services as of this moment.

I think Kyler's camp is killing any trade possibilities. All they have to do is say they refuse to play for any team they are traded to and no team would be willing to risk a trade for him.

Teams want Kyler but they know the Cardinals are stupid, signed him to a stupid contract, and will most likely cut him/take a massive cap hit.

Any sliver of hope I had that the Cardinals would be a competent organization one day has been crushed over the past 6 months.

This is by far the most pathetic organization in the NFL and one of the most pathetic in all of pro-sports.

Why would the do that? Kyler would make more guaranteed money through a trade/restructured contract than he will/would on a release where Michael is footing most of his 2026 tab.

People just hating right now.

very curious to know if Mike was willing to eat salary / and how much

or if it was the $19mm for 2027 that turned teams off
