Mississippi State baseball vs Lipscomb game dates changed due to weather

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State baseball's series against Lipscomb at Dudy Noble Field will start one day earlier.

Game 1 of the series is now March 5 due to forecasted inclement weather, the Bulldogs announced March 4. First pitch is at 6 p.m.

The second and third games of the series remain scheduled for March 7 and 8, but Mississippi State said evaluations are ongoing.

According to AccuWeather, there is a 55% chance of rain on March 6, 80% chance on March 7 and 70% chance on March 8.


Tickets purchased for Game 1 will be good for the opener on March 5.

No. 4 MSU (11-2) lost 7-6 at No. 11 Southern Miss (11-1) on March 3. Lipscomb is Mississippi State's final nonconference series.

Lipscomb (6-5) split a four-game series with Toledo from Feb. 27-March 2.
