Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant just completed his sixth NBA season. As has often been the case in his career, Morant was forced to miss several games due to injury. Making just 50 regular season appearances for Memphis, Morant was also sidelined during his team's first round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Undercut by Thunder guard Lu Dort in Game 3, Morant fell hard on his hip and was forced to miss Game 4. Memphis was ultimately swept by the No. 1 seed Thunder, making it another early offseason for a team that had deep playoff hopes before the year began.

MacMahon added he would label these rumblings speculative, pointing out that Grizzlies GM Zach Kleiman said the team is not trading its star point guard. That said, the report has been making its round on social media, and was soon followed by a six-word post from Morant on X.

"be careful what you wish for," the point guard wrote.

Morant does not have his replies open on X, but the quotes on this post have been flooded with fans wondering what he means by this and if it could be related to the trade buzz.

"i know a future rocket when i see one," a Rockets fan wrote.

"the offseason has some big movers," another fan added.

"Quit playing 12 we love you here in the M," a Grizzlies fan replied.

"Come play with Zion," said a Pelicans fan.

"Welcome to Miami Ja," a heat fan commented.

"They trading you big bro?" another asked.
