Flock of Seagulls sounded pretty awful too, that guy can't sing a lick.

Like you I was laughing, but couldn't turn it off. The host was hysterically bad, thick accent, weird facial expressions, and every now and then he'd give tremendous emphasis to something as if they had been coaching him to act more exciting.

I have to admit I really want to see the Knack. If I was the host my question would be "have you seen Cheech and Chong's Next Movie, and if so how do you like their version My Scrotum?"

Please start another season of Survivor, Amazing Race, hell I'll settle for Big Brother, anything but this nonsense.

Same could be said for Loverboy. As gut-wrenchingly horrible as they've always been, they had quite a few hits back in the early-to-mid 80s.

I have to admit I really want to see the Knack.

The Knack never really stopped putting out albums and they still play clubs now and then. I saw them about two years ago in NYC and they were great. It's basic power pop stuff, but if you like their first album ("Get The Knack"), you'd love anything they put out. Their sound doesn't really change.

I watched 20 minutes of this & nearly had to drive icepicks in my ear drums.

Rob Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice almost acted like he was ashamed of the song.

The only thing I have seen this bad was when my wife made the mistake of turning on Dancing With the Stars last week.

Off topic a bit but I never understood why such a big deal was made of Vanilla Ice's real name being Robbie Van Winkle? Name me one big name rapper in his era or today who uses his own name? I always thought that was a double standard used by black rappers to criticize him, unless MC Hammer and Kool Moe Dee were in fact their real names.

Criticize his lack of rapping skill no problem but I never understood the criticism of his name.


I agree he did act ashamed. We watched I think 2 episodes of Surreal Life his year, in one he was saying he would never ever perform that song, and in another he was doing it at a Karaoke bar with all his castmates, admittedly after much prodding from them. I really got the impression that he was on that show to jumpstart his career and the entire "I will never do that again" thing was an act so he could claim he came back because the public wanted him.

I felt he should have been DQ'd last night he didn't sing Destiny's Child Survivor he sang his own Survivor. He completely shot the integrity of the show......

Where do they get these people in the crowd, they act like they're at the best concert they've ever seen.
