THAT THING GOT A HEMI? SWEET!
by Chef Ed.....Basketball News Services

Ever since the playoffs started there has been
two themes that have been in forefront of both
teams that are represented in the Western
Conference Finals: The Dallas Mavericks and
the Phoenix Suns.

  • The Phoenix Suns don’t have a deep enough
bench, and there is no way that they can keep
up the pace that has put them in the position
they are in right now.

  • The Dallas Mavericks are deepest team in the
playoffs and until they prove they can get over
certain hurdles they will always be considered
second tier.

Well so far the Phoenix Suns have continued to run
and win, and the Dallas Mavericks continue to
prove the critics wrong. They continue to prove not
only to the media, but to themselves, that not only
do they belong in same category as Detroit, San
Antonio, Miami and Phoenix, but they may just
be better than any of the three.

There is no disrespect given to the Phoenix Suns.
What they have accomplished without Mr. Amare
Stoudemire is simple amazing. They have done
what many felt they couldn’t do and in a sense
they still have to fight through the doubters that
once plagued the Dallas Mavericks for years. They
continue to here the criticisms that tell them no
team in the history of the NBA has ever won the NBA
Championship playing the style that they do.

The Mavericks heard it for years, and in the end
the critics were right and the Mavericks allowed
a rookie head coach to change the philosophy of how
they play and how they approach the game itself. The
result is that now Dallas is favored to win the NBA
Championship.

The Suns on the other hand continue to here that
they are too tired and that they just don’t have
enough players to stop a deeper and more talented
Maverick team. Of course they have herd that all
through out the playoffs. Yet here they are and now
they have home court going into games three and
four. But they have found themselves in a position
that even if they wanted to do something about
how they play they can’t.

Because of injuries and a depleted and none existent
bench they are stuck with the fact that they have to
play with what they have. Well what they have is
good enough to steal home court away from the
heavily favored Mavericks, but is it really good
enough to carry them to the NBA Finals?

We think not……….Why you ask…..Simple

Could it be that it isn’t the Suns are running out
of gas as everyone thinks they are, but rather that
maybe, just maybe they just don’t have a big
enough engine to complete the journey? There
is absolutely nothing wrong with the Suns
starting five. In fact you could almost argue
that they have the best staring five in the game.
Imagine how good this team will be once Mr.
Stoudemire comes back? But that’s the problem
isn’t it? He isn’t coming back, and from what
it looks like Raja Bell will be a limited participant
from here on out.

So we don’t believe that it’s a talent issue, but rather
an endurance issue. This team continues to run it’s
engine right into the ground. They don’t have the
same luxury in this series as they did in round two when
they got four days in between games to get them over the
hump. The reason they beat the Clippers in the first
place was because they got four days rest between
games six and seven. The rest of the playoffs had all
the series play their first two games every other day,
then they got the four days rest between games two
and three while the Suns and Clips were playing
every other day.

By the time game six was over the Suns were done.
They had no energy left, and if game seven would
have had the same format as this series the Suns would
be making tee times at the favorite Phoenix Country
Club and not sitting at home for games three and four
with home court advantage. There is a huge difference
between what the playoff format goes through in the
first two rounds compared to what they do for the
Conference Finals and NBA Finals.

During the Conference Finals and the NBA Finals the
format is every other day. There is no time to rest,
especially in the Conference Finals where the format
is 2-2-1-1-1. You play, you travel. So you don’t have
that time for your body to regain it’s strength. Given
the fact that the Suns have had to endure two seven
game series compared the Mavericks sweep of the
Grizzlies and a seven game series against the Spurs it
makes this series not a issue of talent, but rather
a issue of endurance.

Make no mistake. The Suns are going to come out
in game three with every thing they got. They will
lay it all out on the court and they will more than
likely win game three, but in the end it just won’t
make any difference. The lack of rest compiled with
the short turnaround from game to game is just going
to be too much for them to endure. It isn’t a question
of running out of gas. The Suns have plenty of that
and probably a nice supply in spare, but this doesn’t
have anything to do with how much gas they have.
It has to do with a 350 Chevy against the Big Bad
Hemi. They might start out on fire, but in the end
the bigger boy will always win the race.

Hey……That thing got a Hemi? Sweet……….

Have a nice day and thanks for playing.

So sad. All that work to write something respectable, and he still can't spell "its" correctly.

-neither can he spell 'hear' which in his English is spelt "here"
-'heard' , he spells as "herd"
-'non-existent' is "none existent" to him

According to the Mavs board, he posted this to troll. Kind of sad really.
