One adapted to our extremely risk averse QB who has almost no ability to look downfield as plays progress.

I feel like that is what we're running... and the results are as to be expected.
Another post based on feelings.

So many posts about downfield without a single look to who is downfield.

Please tell me who was downfield that you saw from the game yesterday.

Man... you don't understand me as a fan at all.

If I was still a "feelings" fan I would be all about Kyler... "Look at how electric he can be!". Here and there he makes a jaw dropping play, like that scramble, it was amazing... a few plays later he follows it up with the utterly idiot pick.

The high points are so far apart, and his failure to do both the little thing and capitalize on big moments are what separate him from the good QBs.

He isn't terrible... he also basically never is spectacular for a game. And that is while he is spry. Once Kyler doesn't trust his legs... he kinda sucks.

In good conditions he is slightly above average... in adversity he sucks.

Still waiting on who K1 missed downfield.

Everyone says stuff like this with zero evidence.

It was said during the game yesterday too and when asked to provide film no one could.

What?

Is that your only metric?

Like... it's been YEARS with this stuff. He doesn't throw down field and when he does, he's inaccurate.

He is a game manager... with an occasional ability to pull off a crazy play with his legs... and also an unfortunate ability to make some of the wildest mistakes you'll see.

A few years ago, I thought the world of him, but he's been as timid as can be since that Green Bay game.

He is gun shy with is arm, scared of injury and he only trusts his legs when he is fully healthy.

How would you see from the TV coverage?

It was super frustrating.

Dante Stills is a keeper and really should get more snaps instead of DRob. But, man, our Dline rotations were crazy even today. Literally every two or three plays an entirely new set of guys in there.
Sometimes Rallis' rotation management is as bad as Torey's bullpen management. Makes no sense. Dudes get on a heater of making plays, then get subbed out.

game plan early was to attack the middle of the field through the air - wilson's first td got called back - i mentioned in the game thread the 34 yards on the pass interference wouldn't make the stat sheet but tbh that was a crappy pass anyway - we got lucky

idc who the ball is going to as long as it's not the other team and those middle passes were for 10+ yards - in the air - if petzing couldn't have tip as a blocker he'd use higgins as a receiver - tight ends are receivers too - anyone who catches the ball actually but i digress

who caught the ball doesn't bother me - when kyler stops playing top level football when we need him most - that's what bothers me - everything else is usually situational but that one knock remains consistent and continued yesterday forcing us to rely on a 4 man front that was trying to front as if they were the eagles... so frustrating

how many points have we scored in the 4th quarter thru 2 close games?

O points in the 4th quarter against the saints

O points in the 4th quarter against the panthers

THIS MY RED FEATHERED FRIENDS IS CRAP

we scored 3 pts in the 3rd quarter against the saints and 7 against the panthers for a grand total of 10 second half points in two excruciatingly close games - because kyler murray made them that way

i think our defense is far better than what showed yesterday - that 4 man front had our db's scrambling and we simply refused to blitz - first time ive ever really been sore with rallis - instead of winning the game this man continued to experiment- and continued to experiment- and continued to drive me bat ish until the very very end

he better have been saving everything for frisco

I hadn’t notice those two points explicitly, but it was obvious with us turtling with leads. That IS craptastic. That’s on the coaching in part, and Kyler getting worse as games get close in part.

I mean, we have one that throws 27 passes a game, just not to wide receivers.
Why is there this obsession with WRs vs. TEs? Who cares?

Higgins was used as a WR on his 2 catches. We have arguably the best TE in the game. Why does it matter where the production comes from on the intermediate routes.

I'm concerned about the deep passing game and the quick routes when defenses stack the box. We finally saw some play designs to fix the latter yesterday - Higgins, Dortch and the screen to Wilson that got called back.
