Following an HBP to Calhoun, Escobar with a harmless pop up to CF.
Then a single. Runners on 1B & 2B. Mathisen, the old rookie, is up
and strands the runners.

This team just finds new and interesting ways to lose every game. A major overhaul is needed. This is starting to look a lot like the Suns of the 2010s...

BTW, Joe Mantiply is a 29 year old AAA pitcher with an E.R.A. over 15. Why is he even on the extended roster, let alone active roster?

Like Mantiply, what is a player with no present and no future in Mathisen even doing on the extended roster, let alone the active roster?

Thinking more and more that Hazen is every bit as much of a problem as Lovullo.

Get rid of them all...

Steve & BB explained why Ginkel, who is in to pitch, has been so ineffective this season.

They changed his windup to get more strikeouts and it ruined what made him successful.

The hitters have to hit it in the air. The pitchers have to increase their strikeouts which,
for starters, raises their pitch counts.

What a freaking ignorant coaching staff. Yes, that is on the GM, as well.

It seems that, more than anything else, that explains the D-backs pathetic performance.

Torey can blame the players all he wants. That's bull.

Locastro walks in the bottom of the 9th.

Top of the order is coming up. This is our chance!

Rojas -- pop up. Are you happy, Torey? "Lift".

Jansen, the closer, is in to pitch. The whole left
side of the field is wide open.

Locastro steals second and takes third on a bad
throw . . . but keeps going when the Dodgers
get lazy . . . and is easily thrown out.

That is what desperate teams do.

And now we go to extra innings, with a runner
put on 2B, where a sacrifice and a sacrifice fly
gets the run.

A long fly gets him to 3B. And an intentional walk.

Ground ball to Escobar and he drops the ball.
Runner scores the lead run.

And Lux hits a 3-run HR. His second HR of the game.

10-6 Dodgers.

At this rate of sloppiness, the Diamondbacks don't
belong in the National League.

They blew an early 5-1 lead. And, BTW, we face
Kershaw tomorrow.

Escobar has to be the biggest disappointment of the season for me. Dude has just fallen apart in every aspect of the game.

Yup. As I said earlier today, worst quality baseball in franchise history.

Heads need to roll.

Hazen is quickly going from the people’s champion to public enemy numero 1. What kind of junk did he assemble to put on the field? This isn’t even a AAA team.

Also, I can’t imagine how poor our television ratings are.

So have Peralta, Bumgarner, Ray, Kelly, Vogt, Locastro, Calhoun, Walker, Ahmed, Ginkel, Lopez, Rondon, Weaver...

And even Ketel Marte and Zac Gallen are starting to digress.

Any other GM would gave fired the Manager by now...

They could lose out and Hazen would still have a winning record as GM. Let’s not get too crazy from what we’re seeing atm.

Escobar with a 2-out double. Peralta comes up as the tying run with two outs.

He singles in a run and it's 10-9.

C'mon, now. Winning record is in the past. This is here and now!

You walk looking back over your shoulder . . . and you'll walk into a brick wall.

An embarrassing season and a fire sale. We're not the crazy ones!

Particularly where he took an 85 win team and turned it into the worst team in baseball this year and the worst team in franchise history, while making our farm system WORSE...

Well, despite getting our hopes up this game, both early and late,
Goofybacks are now 2-17 in their past 19 games.

This team is extremely weak on fundamentals.

It is all about winning, and we're not! :(

No it’s called sample size. Luckily fans don’t run teams based on emotion.

We had the #28 farm system three years ago.

Emotion? Yeah, the team's emotion! Give it the eye test of what the D-backs are this season.

Including the past 19 games . . . which led them to a fire sale. Throwing in the towel!

That is the real danger of what we're watching. They have dismantled the team and it
is irreversable.

You can't get that back. That is way beyond "sample size". That affects the future.
The domino effect.

They added Starling Marte to the team with hopes of winning. And then dumped him
during the season. Now, that is emotions.
