You people are adding Christmas specials into the Christmas movie thread.

Jenna and Chris, if you watch no other Christmas movie this season, you must watch A Christmas Story. It's awesome.

Red Dawn or either Jack Frost (one where a killer's DNA mixes with snow, producing a homicidal snow-maniac who rapes Shannon Elizabeth with his carrot or the Michael Keaton version which is the same exact concept, only family style and is probably the worst movie ever made).

'Elf' has become one of my favorites...

'Christmas Vacation' is a classic!!!

Yes and yes!

So, are Jenna and Sanders caught up on A Christmas Story? Or do we need to get on them again this year?

BTW, I saw Scrooged last Christmas, so hooray me!

A Christmas Story, hands down. Brilliantly funny movie.

"Bumpaaasseeessss!!"

Others:
Miracle on 34th St.
It's a Wonderful Life (used to think was overrated - appreciate it with age)
The various Charlie Brown and Dr Seuss TV specials

I hate the jerks that consider Die Hard a Christmas movie. I just watched it on HBOHD and even they were playing it off as an X-mas movie

:lmao:

I'd have no problem Die Hard being concidered a Christmas movie, but the film was released in July? Which is weird since it takes place on christmas eve. Why on earth didn't they make this a winter release?

I have no idea, but I thought this was interesting...

John McTiernan was originally going to make Commando 2, but Arnold Schwarzenegger turned the role offer down. Commando 2 was transformed into Die Hard (1988) and Schwarzenegger was the first actor offered the title role, but he again declined. Eventually Bruce Willis would get the part after Sylvester Stallone, Burt Reynolds, and Richard Gere were all offered the role.

Went on a Xmas movie binge and watched Elf on USA and then popped in the Christmas Vacation DVD.

Good times. Tree is up, gifts for the wife are arriving via FedEx and there is snow on the ground (12 degrees outside as of this posting).

Just watched Fred Claus (what's up with Vince Vaughan and his xmas flicks?), good movie for the most part. Though I did not understand the Kevin Spacey role.
