Just yesterday:

Mendoza. 19-30 218yds 1 TD and 1 INT the int damn near got them beat by a bad Penn State team.

Simpson. 21-35. 277 1 TD and only 20 pts against a defense that got lit up by A&M so bad they fired the coach.

So, no, I don't see either one as "slam dunks". Both look really good in spurts and then completely pedestrian. Their teams are so good that that is good enough for them to win. Personally, my main concern with both is their accuracy is not consistent. But that is literally every QB in college this year. I am now so desperate to find someone decent I am looking up stuff about UConn's QB for gawds sake
Box-score watching? In 2025?

You don’t think Mahomes, Allen, or Lamar had pedestrian stats against bad teams? What about Peyton? Rodgers? You think they went 28/31 4 TDs every game? C’mon now.

You sound bored bc you can’t complain and blame Kyler after today. Prob time you to lay off the keyboard for the night. Talking in circles to yourself in your moms basement after a loss like this may concern her.
LOL. Where did I blame Kyler for this game? Now you are pulling stuff out your backside. Give your mom her keyboard back.

Read what I wrote Jon. The vast majority were not saying JB was the long term solution. Most were just excited to see the offense looked better. I didn’t say all.
The offense looked better against Dallas, but then again who’s offense doesn’t look better against Dallas

All of the issues that people complain about with Kyler are still there - Marvin dropping the ball, a dependence on McBride, crappy o-line that gets the QB rattled and makes stupid mistakes

You can read how people were backing off on firing pet thing trying to justify well. He just needed a quarterback to run his system.

Well, his system sucks.

Rallis’ system sucks

Gannon’s entire coaching staff is awful

Well, Monty hit on some draft picks. It looks like if they can stay healthy his neglect of the O-line is criminal.

The team needs an enema.

Those are ludicrous comparisons.

I used the stats to backup what I see. They are good college QBs who are far from sure fire NFL stars. Maybe they will turn out that way. I didn't think Allen would be nearly as good as he has been.

Don't let me rain on your parade. If you think they are awesome, enjoy it. It will help if you don't watch too much of their games. Maybe I should make sure to never actually watch Indiana or Alabama and just read what you say about them rather than having my own opinion.

Those aren’t ludicrous comparisons. Imagine leading up to the 2017 draft that I don’t want Mahomes because he got blown out by 50 against Iowa State? That is what you sound like right now.

You’re not raining on my parade. I just want you to use more sense & not box-score watch.

This team…
* 3rd year coaching staff failing
* cheap owner
* Inexperienced GM
* QB turmoil with no solution
* down to 3rd string RB
* WR core struggling to be average
* Oline healthy yet struggling
* best Dlineman is 39
* young players talented but not able to stay on the field
(Injury prone or not tuff?)

I’ve spent 51 seasons following this team, right now it’s looking as bad as I can remember.

JG again after the game we were out coached and outplayed. Sick of this answer. If you’re continually outcoached and outplayed why do we need this staff. Year 3 and still suck out loud. AQ was politely ripping the play calling and run schemes today if you read between the lines. The optimism I had before the season is completely gone, and we are light years behind our division opponents with no hope in sight right now

Yeah he doesn’t have any answers. It’ll be interesting to find out if he believes it’s on him or he’s going after players and assistants behind closed doors.

It definitely feels like he didn’t like losing like that and wasn’t anticipating it.

I think the defense is ok despite being too passive imo. That doesn’t mean anyone should stay. The offense being in shambles in year 3 is what should get everyone fired.
