Bailey assaulting a photographer and having work ethic concerns could easily factor into Monti's decision between sticking and a trade down
He wouldn’t be the first prospect manifesting immaturity. This is a case of where the GM makes his money and hopefully the interview was aggressive. I presume he was quizzed about it and the maturity of his response would be critical. Did he take responsibility for his actions? As fans we’ll never know; you just have to rely on the GM. The list of guys who did something stupid but went on to glory is pretty extensive.

Absolutely. Bailey will be a good player. But Monti's track record of emphasizing character makes me think this could be a deal breaker for him.

I didn't hear anything about this incident. Not sure how that happened!

After watching, it is clear everyone around Bailey was focusing on getting him contained. Something triggered his response and desire to get in the dudes face. Could have been the photographer making a comment or could have been Bailey losing it due to the loss. Bailey needs to show better constraint.

Its not the first time a bonofide all star defensive player blew up on media and won't be the last. Does it make him a bad person or just a pissed off pasionate person who hates to lose? I don't buy the photographers comment about "just taking a picture of a superstar".

Yeah, I'll be furious if we draft Mauigoa at 3. It would be incredibly irresponsible.

At this point, I'm starting to get vehemently against it, as opposed to feeling disappointed.
I just don't understand the problem with filling a GAPING need at a really important position.

Y'all would draft the offensive equivalent of an ILB with the #3. I can't think of a team in almost 20 years that was built on a RB drafted high that was a team of any relevance.

It's going to look really silly a year from now when Love average 3.6 yards per carry and we watched Wilkerson get obliterated all year long.

Yes skill positions are fun to watch, but winning in the trenches is the real way to succeed.

I'll be happy to just add a good player to be honest. I do have a tier list for sure and I won't be upset about drafting a RB, but drafting OT (if the edge they want isn't there) is the smarter play.

He'd be overdrafted and now, presto! He comes with injury concerns. Yay!

if the Jets take Bailey, and that is being projected more and more

it really leaves no easy choices at #3

a moderate over draft of an OT
a pass rusher who has questions on how he will project -Bain
a LB who is really good, but can he rush -- Reese
a true ILB in Styles

a RB in Love might be the safest pick there, position value be damned

I really want Francis M here but if they can trade back an still get him that's great, I don't want Simpson personally I like Drew Allar in the 3rd if he lasts that long. That leaves 2027 QB options open with a reasonable flyer on a 2026 QB.

I can't like or dislike this post :) Allar in the 3rd is a big yes for me. Mauigoa at #3 is a big no, as is a trade down. In the unfortunate event that the Cards do trade down, Mauigoa would be a decent pick, though those injury concerns are, well, concerning.

Newbies buy! Since I'm tied to my desk running a long Teams event today, I'll take an iced coffee from Starbucks, lots of Splenda and cream, and a Pittsburgh salad with ranch.

He played an extended college season due to the playoffs and has physical recovery that still needs to happen. How is it different than an NFL player? Many of those guys who play in the playoffs are still recovering. He started every game in his college career so it there hasn't been a history of impact to his ability to play. If rechecks pull up that he isn't recovering and needs surgery, that would be a concern, but we aren't there yet.

I think this is overblown like David Bailey's off field incidents that were previously reported and known items.

Bailey of course. I've learned with edge, almost always go with production over potential.
Exactly. He's my #2 behind Mendoza. QB and Edge, bread and butter. If we don't get Bailey, that's where the trouble comes in. That's where I want a blue chip player and not a red chip one.

I'm starting to warm to the idea of Reese as well.
Me too if it means not going with a running back at 3….would rather have Francis …or Bailey…or a trade down…Johnny v and Bo said last night Reese is the favorite…I look at it like this ..say a smoking hot woman wants to sleep with me…but I know she has 3 kids and been around the block….i would be like “ I am scared but I’ll take it”

Naw. I overdraft a childless Rubenesque lady who can cook, because she likes my position of need.
