Exactly. Absolutely nobody think either tackles are stars.

Love is a stud.

Who here is going to look back in 3 years and think "Well yeah, Love might have 1800 scrimmage yards, two All Pros and two pro bowls but Mauigoa is the 18th best right tackle and only gave up 4 sacks. So who really won?"

Nobody.
That’s what we said about Marvin harrisson…. I wanted alt….

History of runningbacks taken top 10:

Jeanty: Raiders - 6
Bijan: Falcons - 8
Saquon: Giants - 2
Fournette: Jags - 4
CMC: Panthers - 8
Zeke: Cowboys - 4
Gurley: Rams - 10
Trent Richardson: Browns - 3
CJ Spiller: Bills - 9

That's everyone since 2010. The majority of these selections have earned their team years of mockery and only found success on their second teams. The good ones, Zeke and Gurley, were both completely washed by their 5th year in the league.

If you told me a RT in this draft would only give up 4 sacks a year for the next 12 years I would sprint to the podium. Now if we take a RT and he sucks that would be awful, there's a certainly a risk to that with these prospects.

I'm sure a similar post was made the year we passed on AP. All, I'll say about Love is that I'll be VERY excited if we pick him at #3. Anyone else, I'll just be excited.

Jeanty - Jury is out
Saquon - Stud with 2 teams
Bijan - Jury is out...Way underutilized with 1 HC
Fournette - Stud at times, but almost zero motivation
CMC - Stud with 2 teams
Zeke - Dominant for short time, then fell off a cliff
Gurley - Bad knees did him in, but was awesome for a short time
Richardson and Spiller - Sucked

What's the hit rate on 1st round picks, overall? Not just RBs? It's less than 55%...and according to reports, TEs have the highest success and WRs have the lowest. Based on the list above, these RBs are about league average for 1st round success. I think the reason people think it's worse for RBs is that the position has so much focus and attention on it.

Dude has all the accolades, can play anywhere on the field, played safety, cb, ILB, OLB, and is described as a "unicorn" linebacker. I have nightmares when I hear this. And I was jumping for joy when we drafted Simmons.
Also, our resident OSU homer has knocked his play and called him an arm tackler. Caveat emptor.

Let me amend that this wasn't a shot across @Cbus cardsfan 's bow. I consider myself a resident Penn State homer.

Except Sonny actually stayed at ILB when they moved him there. They weren’t moving him all over the place every game like Clemson did with Simmons.

The problem with Simmons is that he was a linear athlete. Had no fluidity whatsoever. Styles is super fluid.

OK, I'm on the Love Train (O'Jays)! I am beginning to think he is the most transformative piece available at #3 in THIS draft. I don't wanna pass on the next Adrian Peterson.

The Cardinals desperately need to add Elite playmakers to their team. Love would give the offense another Elite player to pair with McBride. I could totally get behind that.

I wouldn't mind seeing what this looks like with an offensive HC.

And I think because we have an offensive HC that it may very well end up like this.

I could get behind that. When is the last time the Cards had a HR threat at RB? David Johnson. That's also the last time they were any good.
