I think we should sign a tackle and rb in free agency and draft Bailey.
Sweat and Bailey could strike terror in the NFC west qb’s.

Chambliss is returning to Ole Miss.Let’s draft Francis Mauigoa and call it a day. Solidify the tackle position opposite of Paris Johnson. Sign a premium guard or two in free agency, and maybe you roll the dice on a QB young believe has potential in rd 2. To me that’s Trinidad Chambliss. If we hit the 3rd rd and Beck is there, then I take him there.
Not yet…Chambliss is returning to Ole Miss.
I dunno...the 3rd pick seems a bit early to me for a right tackle.Let’s draft Francis Mauigoa and call it a day. Solidify the tackle position opposite of Paris Johnson. I thought the NCAA denied his extra year of eligibility?Chambliss is returning to Ole Miss.

Didn't work out for us the last time we had the #3 pick.I dunno...the 3rd pick seems a bit early to me for a right tackle.![]()
I’m not even happy about a RT at #3, but Monti cannot get cute with this pick. It has to be someone who we can plug in and they contribute immediately.I dunno...the 3rd pick seems a bit early to me for a right tackle.![]()
Do you remember what Parsons did to our RT when we played GB. I do.I dunno...the 3rd pick seems a bit early to me for a right tackle.![]()
It's a cost/value proposition. A RT is easier to find, and having an elite one is less important than other positions.Do you remember what Parsons did to our RT when we played GB. I do.
And you end up with an injured QB. But, you saved money on what you spent on the OL. So there's that. It's a cost/value proposition. A RT is easier to find, and having an elite one is less important than other positions.
AND Mauiogoa is a good to very good prospect rated higher due to a weak draft in general, and tackles in particularIt's a cost/value proposition. A RT is easier to find, and having an elite one is less important than other positions.
Or you are the Chargers who have invested 1st rounders in two OTs who didn't finish the year healthy. Taking a higher value position at 3 isn't about saving money. It's that other positions give you a higher potential return on investment and are tougher to fill. And you end up with an injured QB. But, you saved money on what you spent on the OL. He is a very good RT, but also projects as a pro bowl guard. (Kiper)AND Mauiogoa is a good to very good prospect rated higher due to a weak draft in general, and tackles in particular
last year he would have been taken in the 20s
I remember Will Anderson & Danielle Hunter wrecking Slater & Alt in their playoff matchup about a year ago.Or you are the Chargers who have invested 1st rounders in two OTs who didn't finish the year healthy. It's why, in a vacuum, a draft would go Downs, Love, Bailey, and Mauigoa, but in reality it goes Bailey, Mauigoa, Love and Downs. (maybe you flip Downs and Love)
Is there a world where you take Love #3? If we could find our own Bijon I’d take a player of that caliber with the 3rd pick.Or you are the Chargers who have invested 1st rounders in two OTs who didn't finish the year healthy. Is he a first rounder or can we get him at the top of the 2nd?Sleeper

I mean there is but the Cardinals would have needed to shore up their offense line, be adamant about not drafting a QB, no takers to trade up, and acquired a top edge to play opposite of Sweat. Is there a world where you take Love #3? Just because the Cardinals can't do it doesn't mean it can't be done. We did it with James Conner. Kenyan Drake. Bobby Massie. Kelvin Beachum for a time.It seems like all we do on here is complain that you don't take a right tackle, guard or a running back high in the draft. They can be gotten anywhere. But, yet we are always looking for a...... right tackle, guard or running back.
If there is a good one out there that can be gotten some other way, why don't we have him?
We tried getting a guard high in the draft. That was a fiasco. We took a tackle high in the draft instead of the RB, and that was a disaster. Bottom line, we're the Cards, and we're a disaster lolIt seems like all we do on here is complain that you don't take a right tackle, guard or a running back high in the draft. I'm there with you.
