The Arizona Cardinals' penultimate game of the 2026 season will come at home against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders used the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft to select quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
While Mendoza isn't the automatic starting quarterback, as the Raiders also acquired Kirk Cousins, by Week 17, barring injury, everyone expects Mendoza to be in the lineup.
Cousins knows that he will be the starter until he's not good enough to keep Mendoza off the field.
If Mendoza is the starter for the Raiders, he will be the fourth starting quarterback the Cardinals will face for the first time ever.
The other quarterbacks the Cardinals' schedule they have not played against are these guys:
If Cousins is the starter, he is 4-3 in seven career starts against the Cardinals. He has thrown 13 touchdown passes, rushed for four touchdowns, and he has thrown six interceptions in those seven games.
