We tried getting a guard high in the draft. That was a fiasco. We took a tackle high in the draft instead of the RB, and that was a disaster. Bottom line, we're the Cards, and we're a disaster lol
It was until it wasn't. We got Chandler Jones with that high drafted guard...

Well, yes, more fool them. But it didn't solidify the guard position, so no, it didn't work for our OL.
I remember he was looking like a monster during preseason and then he got hurt. He wasn't the same player after injury. (Like other famous Cards Leinart and David Johnson)

I would draft Mauigoa and feel for the most part we have a very pertinent need addressed. Defenses move their premier pass rushers all over the field now and a RT could be said to hold close to the same importance as the LT. Nothing is a sure thing but would feel pretty comfortable drafting him.
Exactly!!! We can’t afford a bust…have to have a mauler to open up the running game and protect against these d lines in the west….heck I would even take gennings dunker as well if we can’t get Simpson….then nuss in the third …or a Davis mills ….combined with our weaponry and lafleur would be competitive at least

This is my evergreen draft tweet

somewhere in the top part of the draft is a cutoff between blue chip and something just below that. If you have a chance to trade down and stay in the blue chip range -- do it
I feel like there are only 5 blue chippers in this draft.

QB
RB
S
2 pass rushers

We desperately need to sign a starting RT and OG in FA. Even take a swing at Rasheed from Seattle as a much needed speed WR. This would give us draft flexibility

That would be perfect but “We can’t afford that”.
