Shouldn’t scouts know this before the combine? I guess what I’m thinking I worry more about what they did on the field. No?
A lot if it is because you are projecting what has made them effective vs college level athletes (which are not all equal as we know) to what will translate against NFL level athletes and that is a big gap. It's nice to have confirmation regarding what you have seen in terms of projecting athleticism to an actual number and applying it to the NFL.

No one suggested Bain didn’t play hard. He will face much of the same issues in the NFL, but against bigger, stronger opponents. He has talents and he has limitations. Taking him at 3 is a risk. Taking him at 8-10 is likely a sound choice.

I almost want to take a LT or pass rusher in round 1 and take a qb, rb in rounds 2 and 3 since this team needs so much work in the trenches, pass rush department. The new HC might retain KM because of this or he could pick a qb right away. Then you look at the playoffs this year, and almost every qb is a 1st rounder in the NFL playoffs this year which complicates it even more. But the lines have to be fixed. Veteran, experienced HC only.

Is Miami’s RT worthy of the 3rd pick.

if we think we are going to compete AT ALL in 2026 by building through the draft we are kidding ourselves. We need a huge free agency splash. But that’s not what we’ll do.
Things we’ll hear.
*No big splash on day 1 in free agency. Let the market cool down. Be patient and WAIT UNTIL DAY 2 AND 3.
*After a signing one player on day 2 we will celebrate the signing for the next 7-10 days. “It’s still early in the the Free Agency process.
*We feel player “A” just had a bad year or was injured but we are confident he is going to bounce back.
*don’t forget the players available after the June 1st cuts.

We will know way before the draft just how serious the new mantra “One year turn around” really is.

this is so true

Bijan Robinson went #8, and in a re-draft, probably goes higher than that (and Jahmyr Gibbs, taken at 12)

not sure Love is a like Bijan, but its also not a good of a draft
I’m not sure

i wouldn’t compare Love with Bijan. I’m sure Love is a special back at Notre Dame, just look at who they played. Pretty much had a cupcake schedule. Against Miami, the best team on their schedule, love went for 33 yards on 10 carries. Bijan played at Texas, which played a much beefier schedule. I wouldn’t draft Love with the No. 3.
