Summary: I was recently asked my thoughts on the Cards adding Johnnie Brown to the roster this season. My response was, “well, for his own personal well being I sure hope it’s Johnnie Brown III and not the O.G. Johnnie B, that guys is probably well over 60 years old.” Amiright? This thing on?

Unlike my humor, the Georgia Southern transfer is an energetic addition to the line. Playing predominantly left tackle last year for the Eagles, it appears the spring weather and the aroma of Power Four football has pushed Brown to the interior, and he took the majority of his snaps at the guard spot the last few months. Brown has great size, and could be a starting caliber player by the time the boys hop on the plane to Nashville. Where he grew up they train those offensive lineman to avoid getting burned, or at least not a lot of “burn”…but a Lilburn is okay. Sorry folks. It’s day like 39 of offensive lineman, I’m struggling out here.

Brown started his collegiate journey at Miami out of high school (The ‘U’ was not for The ‘Him’) but played in 26 games for Georgia Southern the last two years, including an “All-Sun Belt” nod in 2025 where he started every contest. Experience is key…but not like O.G. Johnnie Brown I experience…that’s too much.
