Summary: I don’t stand six feet six inches tall…but McAdoo. I don’t push three bills on the scale….but McAdoo. I also don’t have the ability to protect a QB or push nose tackles around for fun…but McAdoo.
The Redshirt Sophomore saw time on the interior of the line this past spring but it’s hard to tell if that’s a permanent placement or was just the result of an injury riddled spring for that group. While my expectation for McAdoo is him living at the guard spot, I actually saw some other reports from guys who would be in the know, that he may be on the depth chart for some backup at the center spot as well. McAdoo will be a depth piece in 2026, and look for opportunities to get into the mix as needed. Ellis still has a few seasons to keep developing overall and it’s tough to ask an underclassman to surpass some of these guys who have been playing for five years and have a wife and mortgage. I don’t know a significant amount about o-line play…but McAdoo…and so does Matt Cannata. Check out a short clip of him below demonstrating some basic o-line blocking principles.
