I am conflicted more than most options. I mean he is universally considered the 'best prospect' in THIS draft.I think a lot--if not all--of the "mehs" or "I'll be POd" or "not a premium position" complaints will go completely by the wayside once the kid proves out. IMO he will be a dynamic back for whoever drafts him, and if that's us, opinions will be changed.
Nahhh nobody’s buying tickets to go see Love they’re gonna need to start winning.Love would be a good pick to put fans in the stands and sell jerseys
Two injured RBs and one barely making the team that got injured also. Any pick at #3 could be a busy may as well roll the dice. Does AZ have a face of the franchise?Nahhh nobody’s buying tickets to go see Love they’re gonna need to start winning.
Would you change your mind after say a hundred yards rushing and recieving in the same game and a couple of touchdowns?I like Love but I don't think he fixes any of the Cardinals major problems and is a bit of a Luxury at #3 overall. Plus drafting him at #3 overall you are instantly making him one of the higher paid RBs in the league whereas if you take an Edge rusher you are getting some major cost control over the next 4 years. Still I would be somewhere between Happy and OKay with the pick even though the value isn't there for a RB. He is still an elite talent.
Has any one draft pick in the last 40 years in AZ fixed any major problems?I like Love but I don't think he fixes any of the Cardinals major problems
With who? There is no Joe Thomas or Quenten Nelson worthy of the 3rd pick of the draft.I chose disappointed but not because of "no love for Love." I think he's a fantastic player, I just don't like him at 3. I'd much rather build up the trenches at this point.
We’ve got a big hole in our RB room regardless if Love is the pick or not. So some measure of investment will be needed there. It would really skew the cap. Love is likely the BPA for those who believe in that pre-cap, now mostly discarded strategy. I don’t find it impossible to work with, but it would make building out the roster tricky. Coupled with the RB room’s investment the Cards would have trouble getting their money back.
I would be fine with either Fano or Mauigoa at tackle or Reese, Bain, or Bailey at edge. With who? There is no Joe Thomas or Quenten Nelson worthy of the 3rd pick of the draft.
An indicator Love wasn’t on the menu.Monti all ready broke me when he signed the two running backs out of the gate in FA. I'm broken
