So we drop out of being able to get a stud and cross our fingers we can find a gold nugget instead of fools gold?

How many of you feel comfortable with MO finding a stud and another solid starter in a weak class? Or are we looking more like Dallas gets a pass rush stud and we pick up an okay tackle and a bust? Sound familiar?

Dallas can give us #12 + #20 and next years 1——-for our #3 and #65 or they can suck eggs
MO is the smartest guy in the room.

He will make us great in 2030 or maybe 2040

I've seen this scenario play out six or seven times in my draft simulations.
Me too and there is usually nothing good left lol. I guess if they want Simpson(not my guy but if they see him as a system fit then so be it) at 12 and then someone like Miller at 20?

Miller has the potential to be a real solid starting RT who probably makes a Pro Bowl or two, so I wouldn't say there is nothing left.

And we should tell them to pound sand. Stick and pick.

Although, if they do happen to trade down, then I'd be fine with Mauigoa. I can even spell his name by now. I do NOT favor a trade down, but if it happens.
This I agree with. I dont trust MO at all to pick good players. We are just going to end up with more Darious Robinsons.

Probably the most likely scenario if the Cardinals trade back is Spencer Fano at 12 and Simpson at 20.
The list of successful OT with that arm length is very short.

I don't think we can abandon the concept of a trade down just because Monti took a bad player last time. There were studs available when Monti chose Darius. That trade down would have been a success if he taken Fiske, Newton, Kool-Aid, DeJean, Lassiter, or even JPJ.

It's certainly possible to take bad players high too. At least with more picks there's more of a chance our backwards scouting lucks into a good player.

I seethed when we passed on Will Anderson for PJJ, I still think it was a colossal mistake.

I don't see that caliber of player at #3 this year. If the cowboys want to give us a few firsts for more bites at the apple, fine.

I just hope we don't bite on Simpson. He's a bad pick at 3... at 12... at 20... at 30 something...
