I'm not sure how I feel about this line up. One thing for sure though is that Lamb is in it and that alone makes me hate it lol.
And at 3B, where Lamb is an inferior fielder.

Shifting Escobar to 2B, a position he seldom plays.

And Vogt batting second?

The more people you play out of position, the greater
chance it will bite you in the butt.

Torey Lovullo's "strategy" -- against all odds.

It will be only one game, but let's see If Torey lucks out.

Weaver leaves runners on 2B & 3B in the top of the 1st, but needed 26 pitches to do it. His ERA has been over 11.00 since his start of the season.

D-backs score the first run of the game on a passed ball.

It looks like today's game is not going to be a pitchers battle.

In the bottom of the 1st, the D-backs score two runs, then a 3-run HR by Nick Ahmed.

5-0 D-backs. We own Melvin's A's. And will travel to Oakland to play two more games against them.

When I saw Weaver allowed the first two Oakland Batters on base, I thought, crap, here we go. And it still may be, but he got out of it.

Batted around, 5-0 after 1st inning.

Weaver threw 26 pitches, Montas threw 32

Lamb just takes a ball off his throat in mis-fielding a ground ball at 3B.

You don't put your mitt under the grounder as it rises, Jake, you put
the mitt over it.

Oakland with a run to make it 5-1.

44 pitches for Weaver in two innings.

At that rate, he'll be lucky to make
five innings.

The only consolation is that the A's
pitcher is even worse.

And Calhoun with another opposite field
HR. 6-1 with no outs in the bottom of
the 2nd.

Hey, let's keep this alignment by geography
rather than Leagues. :)

(Just kidding. I'm a traditionalist.)

A's pitcher is gone after 1 2/3 innings, with the bases loaded.

Ahmed with a 2-out single drives in two more. 5 RBI's so far. 8-1.

This is fun!

Jake singles in our 9th run.
