NBA.com has a page where nine former stars make their predictions for the playoffs. The page stalled for a long time before loading for me, even though the browser said it was "done," so you might have to be patient.
Anyway, in the West, six said San Antonio and three said Phoenix. In the East, five said Miami and four said Detroit. No other team got any prediction votes in either conference.
Two of the "legends" refused to pick a finals winner, but of the seven that did, six went for the East team. I thought that was strange. The only guy to predict a West winner is Clyde Frazier, who has San Antonio over Detroit. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Dave Cowens have the Suns losing in the finals, while Moses Malone wouldn't call his predicted final of Phoenix and Miami.

More food for thought, for those interested. Remember, you might have to be very patient with the page.
