I came across this video of Yasmany Tomas, hopefully our new 3B:

Anyways, I have a few thoughts:
1. He's not really in shape in the video. His body style appears to be a little more round. Hopefully he is like Kung Fu Panda and has the feet and quicks to play the hot corner. If he can't field, he will have to play in the outfield (which appears to be his position in Cuba) because we have the 1B in the majors.
2. His arm is super strong. He can definitely make the throw across the diamond or from the OF.
3. He's only 24, there's room for improvement and I think he does have the hitting tools to be a big league hitter with major power.
Hopefully with a professional team he will be able to get in a little better shape and will be able to play 3B with good enough defense to contribute. Ultimately, I like the signing and I hope that he is able to handle 3B.
